Well at about 12:00 minutes where you are stood directly in front of the camera talking your face and hands can be seen clearly, but the pattern of the Camouflage on the BDU’s plays tricks with your Eyes making it hard to see the outline of your body It’s not that you just blend in to the background, it is the disruptive pattern of the camouflage is so effective! Some of the greatest innovations of modern warfare came from Rhodesia The Selous scouts were masters of counter insurgency, Ron Reid Daly was a great soldier

Thanks again guys another great video and an excellent pattern. Up here in the deciduous/pine forests of Wisconsin, we are (my group of buddies) CADPAT fans, as well as ERDL the “post-‘Nam” era woodland pattern. This Rodesian pattern looks like its worth a try. Also, for our Winters up here in the frozen tundra, urban camo works very well as most of the greens are pines and everything else is black, gray and white. Beyond that, urban camo deployed in the city?!, Better to wear a sign that says “shoot me”.

South East Asia has a boonie that is like a ninja mask flap. The sun is a big deal in not only the desert but moving through jungle spaces.

I have my brother’s hat, that he sent me in 1978. It no longer has the green netting that doubled as a bug deterrent and camouflage. I noticed that these hats did not have it and I’m wondering if it was specific to the BSAP in which he served for fifteen years? He carried a FN FAL and a Browning Hi-Power everywhere he went for years. The best army with the best kill ratio of any army ever to my knowledge? Make no mistake it was communism they were fighting, my brother went on regular patrols with thirty black soldiers and said they could have killed him on any one and no one would have ever known what happened!

We'll to be clear this isn't our camo. Bruce and I had some samples sent to us (which we were more than happy to receive because were both fans of Rhodesian camouflage pattern). They are offered through a company called Fire Force Ventures out of Canada. Good repro Rhodie camo is very hard to come by, that's what make these a real jewel.

Great video and excellent products, but that flap hat looks like the old Japanese Imperial Army cap except with camo. The pattern is excellent that Sarco stuff looks like it needs to fall in to the enemy hands so that they can stand out and be cannon fodder. That Texas flag puts the tactical print together.
