The separating can happen when you mix different aspects like water based, oil based and silicone products. (Or so a dermatologist informed me.) Hope this helps. xx

Allana! Loved the video! Plums and wine reds are definitely back with the fall season. The Chanel blush looked beautiful in the packing and on the skin. I do struggle with how to wear rich plums and wine colors in a natural lighter way for the everyday. If you do any fall/winter makeup looks around making these deep shades more approachable i think it would be a fun watch.

The separating could be because one base product is water-based, and the other is silicone-based. I had this problem with my foundation and primer!

I have really been enjoying the tower 28 concealer. The aramni luminous silk concealer is my first love, but this has been a surprising close 2nd. I usually spray my face with the Peach & Lilly glass skin spray, then I lay down the concealer, and then spray benefit porefessional all over, then I blend it out. Comes out like a dream!

to alleviate the pilling of your skincare, let everything absorb for a minute or two in between steps. if the product hasn't settled down, it will have a higher tendency to pill. However, some ingredients simply do not mesh with one another, so if everything still pills even after waiting a few minutes, then unfortunately the two products in question just might not work together.

So I’m sure you know about separation and oil vs water and how oils and water based products are combined (emulsions). However, both mixability and solubility are strongly impacted by the pH or acidity of whatever you are using immediately underneath. Mismatches in pH can increase separation or cause pilling even if you “shake well before use” (which tragically does not mean shimmying pre make up). Either use better pH-matched skin products together, or give it much longer between the application of one than the other to allow the first layer to sink in and the pH to return to baseline.

It’s one click to remove the boob tape and pall the other unwanted objects. I hope your photographer does this for you, if not it’s super easy to do your self :) This is a very very easy fix and takes no time. I didn’t love Tower28 concealer. I don’t have dry skin and it clumps and separates under my eyes which other concealers don’t. Maybe formula clashes with my base too. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Does anybody else have a problem with the Elf Brow Lift not working for them? I wanted to love it so bad, but it’s awful! It does not hold my brows up at all, which I find odd because I don’t have thick or heavy brow hairs. 😫 I continue to stick with the got2b glued spiking glue hair gel that Allana used to rave about. Now that stuff is magical!

It’s so unusual to see you with lashes, it kind of threw me off a bit. I’ve seen a few other creators try the skin tint from Bobbi Brown, and their tube also looked like it had exploded. I really like the look and with the lashes you could easily do a Chanel ad! But I think that you already have got lashes, so you don’t need to wear a strip lashes. Thanks for a great video! 💕

Your product bases are not compatible when you end up with a pilling effect. For example a water based product over an oil based product. I’m guessing if you use the Bobby Brown base you will be fine. I have very dry skin and the Tower 28 products do not work for me at all.

I think the lashes look really pretty on you, a nice change, but your natural lashes are so beautiful. Super underwhelmed by that Chanel eyeshadow palette, the colors/tones weren’t pretty, I felt like that brown pulled purple on you, it just seemed sheer and boring. The other 2 peachy shades added nothing to the eye look, and the inner corner highlight was non existent. The blush was beautiful, but I’m not sure if it’s because it’s a different tone for you, but I prefer you in your pretty cool tone pinks, or peachy pink blushes, they make your face light up and come alive. Still fun seeing new makeup in action and regardless you always look gorgeous!❤❤😊
