I totally agree, I love dead salmon because it's pretty much "old gum" as a paint color!! It's even more spot-on in person because it has some red undertones, but our background lights really neutralized the red, and I don't think I like it as much in this context. The third paint swatch looks (at least on my screen) so extremely close to the color value of your skin and also pretty close in tone as well, so just from a logistical standpoint I think that would work the least well as a background. I like both of the other swatches a lot! But I think the center shade (dead salmon) being less rosy pink makes me like it the most

Sulking Room Pink is my favorite but Dead Salmon is grungy and neutral enough that it probably won't impact the color read of your shots. That said, before you said they were swatches, I thought it was a kind of Rothko-y series of wall hangings, and that could be a cool vibe, too!

Setting Plaster! I always prefer a neutral light/cream wall that can be brightened up with art (& I know you have a beautiful art collection!). Plus, that way you can change up the art, decor, etc. without having to worry about complementary colors.

Dead salmon is by far my favorite! Sulking room pink is pretty but I think dead salmon compliments your complexion and hair most, plus its neutrality will compliment any makeup look (especially your usual makeup colors you go for). Setting plaster also pretty but doesn't contrast enough with your complexion so it may wash you out.

The dm balm looks like it's made more for oily skin there is a relatively new ingredient in it that combats oil, I learned it from Angie's new makeup releases. My vote is for sulking room pink it adds life to the background and is such a unique colour!

I do a lot of interior design so here’s my hot take: Sulking Room pink will go great if you want a lot of other colorful decor and points of interest. It’s neutral enough that it accentuates other colors but not so neutral that it’s boring. I personally love the color and have my living room painted a similar tone and love it. However, Dead Salmon is perfect if you want to do a more clean, minimal look. I always find that I will pick the right color for a room if I think about all the other items that will live in that space and how I want that space to feel to me and the people in it.

Sulking room pink is my favorite! For Rare Beauty, my experience is that the neutral shades of their foundation leans yellow, but the two lightest shades of this moisturizer seem to lean a bit pink/peachy. The three lightest shades seem spaced out well, though, and I've been tempted.

Love the whole pallet of swatches, but I think Plaster would be a good base. When filming, it would be a good contrast to your makeup looks and gently reflect both natural and artificial light in the room. The other colors would make lovely trim options! However, it's your house and your rules 😊

I'm in favour if dead salmon and here's why: it's a neutral colour that doesn't wash you out like I feel setting plaster would and it goes well with your colouring. Also if you'd ever want to switch up decor, I think it'd be easier to get pieces that go with it bc it's such a neutral colour. Also it won't overpower or clash with whatever you're wearing or your makeup the same way I feel sulking room pink would (although I think that colour is pretty in it's own right).

The DM powder balm sounds exactly like the product I’ve been looking for when it comes to a “foundation”. I have oily skin but don’t always want to set with powder. I want something I can quickly apply to help with a little redness and pore coverage but still light coverage. All of the new tinted moisturizers and balms I’ve been seeing just seem to be too much for my oily skin!

I love “Setting Plaster” because it reads fresh and it’s bright without being white. Sulking pink reminds me of a grandmothers house, and the salmon color has no brightness to it whatsoever.
