I highly recommend you not to do that: the OG Red Tobacco is highly hyped, it is not a strong beast and is mostly a bubble of ashtray smell, is not bad, but it is not that good. Instead of that, do get a real beast like Aoud Lemon Mint, it will outperform Red Tobacco, and will tell everyone at the party you´ve arrived, it smells like expensive lemonade with aoud and musk+vetiver sparks with pepper flares

Red Tobacco is a masterpiece regardless of the version. I got lucky and got a bottle of the Intense in August while in Vancouver, B.C. The main difference I pick up on is the opening is a little smoother but I was never turned off by the opening of the original. I have both of them and I don't regret having them both. I am wearing the EDP right now while the weather fluctuates. Once we hit winter I will be wearing the extrait exclusively. Once I finish the EDP I probably won't go back for it again and just stick with the extrait.

@@Dolaand_Trump over time I have come to dislike the intense version. It appears to have been nothing more than a money grab for Mancera. It is not intense at all and the performance and projection is nothing close to the EDP. It’s an extrait so I expected less projection but I didn’t expect the lack of performance. I barely reach for it any longer. The EDP is still my number one fragrance among my 100 plus fragrances.

I've found there's a decent difference. The Intense is not quite as sweet as the OG. The main difference with Intense is the leather note its quite prominent. My EDP performs better but it is a quite a few years old. I still thing the original is the best scent.

As a tobacco fragrance lover, I’m fortunate to own the (first year) 2017 batch of a 120ml bottle, at 80% full, and I reach for it whenever I’m in the mood for compliments and being noticed, The dry-down, in particular, is something else. Wow! Many tobacco fragrances that are supposed to be tobacco-centered / tobacco-forward are laughing matters - with tobacco often being undetected - unlike this gem. Performance is nuclear, being the best description, as, beastly, wouldn’t be justified. I look forward to owning this intense version, as well. The OG is a masterpiece. Great review! 🎉

I heard that the only thing this does is get rid of the opening a lot of people don’t like and goes directly to the dry down? I didn’t have any issues with the opening tho, I really liked it! And if that’s the case, why pay extra to not smell the opening? Even if I didn’t like The opening, once goes away you are still left with a beautiful fragrance. Personally I just tried the original a couple weeks ago and the opening was love at first sniff, once the dry down started showing up I thought this is probably one of my favorite fragrances now. How’s the tobacco note on this though? Is is the same, toned down or more prominent?

I have a 10.2022 batch and it’s crazy strong. The first sprays were not so strong, now a few weeks later it’s extreme beast mode. And the best fragrance I ever smelled.

I don't agree. Intense is everything but a more amped up Red Tobacco. It is less harsh, more mild, accessible. It differs greatly from the OG.

I hope they do an extreme Red Tobacco. Just melting trees, shrubs and pavement as I walk by.

Worst cologne I ever purchased, not beast mode, smells like water and honey, no notes other than water and honey, I was so excited to love this, the reviews all said beast mode and delicious. Literally smells like just water and honey, maybe a little vanilla as well, do not ever buy this Fragrance, super disappointed with this house. Shame on you Mancera. Not one person said anything after 7 sprays of this, when I was indoors near a lot of people and outside as well. Reviews state 6 foot projection, 8-24 hours projection. Bullshit. Do not even think about getting this crap cologne.
