I like the RollyPolly bag. For hiking and travel, it would be perfect for Exploring a farmers market. You are right a lot of countries are now plastic bag free. The TT26 would be my EDC.

As a user I totally agree their are a few improvements to the backpack .I would definitely change the shoulder straps to a curved version .The molly-velcro webbing on the carriage would be a great addition to add a pouch on the bag . as for the weapon area . if the total bag is large enough of this area to be a laptop area for a 15" laptop in a neoprene case. The water bottle pockets Should be the size for a 1 ltr Nalgene bottle without it getting into the interior of the bag it's self .the guessed bottle pockets should be their so you don't loose space , love the Bungee cord in the pocket to help.secure the bottle from falling out .

I would only add 2 small additions to the tote bag .1 make the drop pocket in it a pit deeper say twice it's depth ..2 addition to 2 D-rings on the ends for a shoulder strap ,because hands free is a good thing.

I got two of those tote bags. We shop at ALDI a ridiculous amount so reusable bags are a must. They will fit that bill nicely and serve doubly duty if we need to move bulky items like clothes when we move. Very practical. The TT26 doesn’t look like it would fit my daily needs for a bag but it’s well built nonetheless.

Tote bag is great I packed for a 1 week holiday with it as checked baggage. Wished they had a big shoulder strap as the big handles make the bag low to ground and the only way to carry it

I think I still have my maxpedition rolly polly dump pouch from my airsoft days. Cool to see they're still paying homage to a great piece of kit!

The RollyPoly is great! I use mine for a camera pouch while on the trails!

Great review! I was waiting a long time for this backpack, but now that I see it in detail, the pack disappoints in a few key areas. I like where Maxpedition was going with this idea, I just don’t think it was properly thought out. Maybe they’ll get it right in a 2.0 version...hopefully.

It's tough for sure...that's why I ended up with a first impressions video...I wanted to load it up and get it out for a field review but I haven't figured out how to make it work for my needs just yet...more to come.

outer limitless Can’t wait for that! I hope it works out for you, cuz I really like the design. For myself, I was looking for a grey man edc/ get home pack. To get out of the city, into the country. Good luck!

A very thorough review. I’d be interested to see if the things you pointed out present themselves negatively as you use it.

Is this the regular size or XL?

I ended up with the Savotta Jaakari medium size really well made bag though I could buy a different bag 2 times a yr theirs always something new to get. For my edc bag in the car I use either the 511 sling bag or the Hidden woodsman Haversack in OD green. I also use the Vanquest fat pack in my bag for stuff like nail clippers tweezers whistle extra fire making gear pills etc works great a little pricey at $50 but very well made organizer.

my 5.11 Rush 24 has all 1000d nylon which is tough but stiff. What about the Prepared Citizen if it is all 1000d is it stiff or does it break in?
@outerlimitless4 жыл бұрын
It's not quite as stiff as the nylon on the 5.11 bags. a nice robust nylon, but I would say more pliable. This particular bag is a 500d with a poly coating...so it's lighter than the rush in general. I hope that helps!

How good would this be for college? I am using a GRIDFLUX sling pack right now for school. I like it, but I like to carry water and carry coffee at the same time, so the only 1 beverage holder on the side isn't the best at times. Anybody got any advice? (also I have used the GRIDFLUX for a while now and its holding up amazingly btw I would recommend that bag to anyone.)

I think this bag would drive you crazy if you used it for college...it's oddly configured and will be extremely tight if you have as much as a 3 ring binder...if that even fits. Ironically I intend on filming my next piece on this in the next day or so using it as my EDC for work...you'll quickly see that it's not practical. IF you want a different option with space and a nice layout and you like Maxpedition, I strongly recommend the Prepared Citizen Deluxe...it's a great bag, nice capacity and excellent layout with spacious waterbottle pockets and nice customizable layout...you can watch my video about that one if you're curious. I used it for a few months as I laid it out in my video. Hope that helps.

@@outerlimitless I just watched the video on it. I think that bag would be better for me. I like that it can hold 2 half gallons lol Also side note, I love the Gridflux its gone into field with me in the army for 4 years, plus multiple security jobs, and other various range activities and other things, and now college. Its still holding up like a champ witn no issues. I am a Maxpedition fan for sure.
