And with the 600LT (where the LT stands for Long Tail) McLaren has surpassed its previous efforts again. Having driven it around the challenging Hungaroring GP circuit for a day, Steve Sutcliffe thinks this car is something else again.

Nah...the Senna is much more powerful, lighter, and has ultra-brakes and aero. The 600LT might keep up with the 720S, but I can't see how the 600LT could keep up with a Senna.

Have you seen the 570 drag racing the 675 on Misha Choudrin's channel? The 570 demolishes the 675 (counterintuitively, I know) simply because of weight. And the 600LT is 100kg (220Ib) LIGHTER than a 570...!!!

lapamful No it doesn’t, it was the drivers launching. Also that was a 675LT Spider. The 675LT has trapped 141mph in the 1/4 mile, and has also done it in 10.2 secs. It is quicker than the 570S. The 570S could be faster at high speeds though.

Senna was just a money maker for the other products, sticking a racing legends name on it was a guaranteed selling idea, all the other stuff is fast enough, plus the Lt is usable on the Road, whereas, the Senna you can actually get near its potential on a Track not on a Public Road.

The Senna was purposefully built for track purposes to respect Ayrton Senna. Not as much road car. The name is obviously as he is known as one of the (the) best racers of all time.

Just one thing I actually don't like about the design, and it is the headlights. They could have made something more aggressive as like they did in 720s or or the step up they made from the 650S to 675LT.

The reviewers usually get a brand new car for a few hours so the likelihood of them encountering a problem is quite low, isn't it? The same applies to the KZbinrs, who also know that if they did criticise a car there would be less chance of a company, such as McLaren, ever lending them another one to review again.

Agreed, every person I know with a McLaren has had an issue with their car from factory that doesn't get resolved for a very long time. Nevermind general electrical issues etc that crop up after a while. The reviewers / YT'ers do see these things, remember Steve's review of the 720s and the engine light wouldn't go off. The cars are great to drive but a GT3 would spank it in terms of useability & reliability. Ferrari's, modern ones, don't know anyone that's had the issues McLaren owners have. Honestly, wings not working, glass smashing in the roof of 720s's, electrical faults, engine faults the list goes on. I don't know anyone with a McLaren that hasn't had a back to dealership problem at some point during their ownership. In most cases this is how the cars were delivered too.
