In the tcg for burn you take 2 damage counters(20 damage) and then flip a coin. Also confusion is different. For confusion if you get heads in the tcg your attack works like normal, but if you get tails your confused pokemon takes 3 damage counters(30 damage).

Is this only for one turn? Then the confuse go away regardless of the coin flip result?

@@fluffy5791 Paralysis last for 1 turn only, burn and sleep you flip a coin for recovery, poisoned and confused have to be benched to clear the effect. Evolution also clears all status effects. In the tcg you can also use pokemon abilities or trainer cards to also clear effects sometimes.

Crazy these guys can find all these leaks, but not a single content creator could find the tab that's been in the game since launch telling you how the card picking works, and when the cards are generated AFTER picking your pack from the carousel.

My guess with tools is that they will be released in a set focused on Jotho (likely the next big set in january), since tools were originally introduced to the card game in gen 2, as they are meant to mimic held items in the video games. The thing that surprises me the most is that the game doesn't have a filter for stadium cards, i wonder if that means pocket doesn't plan to have stadium cards or if they plan to add them in the future.

They’ll put them in the future tools was adding with an update in game very recently. The search option changed with trainers and tools are there now.

More control tools are a welcome inclusion, in a meta of big attack hit hard. I know there are control decks in pocket but they do feel not as good as the top decks

It's funny that you mention the options for burn since there's been both ways in the original game. From newest to oldest: * Current rule in paper TCG is you take the damage, then flip to see if the burn persists. But at the very least you take a base of 2 damage counters (some attacks/abilities/stadiums can increase the burn amount, same with poison). * Prior to the "Sun & Moon" expansion, the flip was prior to the damage. So you could in theory not take any damage at all if you were lucky with an early heads (similar to sleep).

@@cygnus8047 it would for sure make Koga a bit obsolete but returning to the hand have its own advantages. - Good is that you heal the card, one of the best things about Koga is that it heals your beaten up Weezing and allows you to retreat even an afflicted card. - Another good thing is that if you want to play around Sabrina, you can just not summon the Koffing again and leave a big Poke in front. - bad thing is that you lose that 1 energy you assigned to said Weezing. The goods still outweigh the bad and that is why Professor Turo is a supporter as well as all cards that return to the hand and switch, switch cart, etc are all items.

In the modern card game, creatures releases an all-star set at the end of each year (in japan, start of the next year in the west) which is usually a few new cards, a few regular reprints, and a bunch of shiny versions of cards released that year. Considering creatures is involved in the development of pocket, i wouldn't be surprised if pocket gets a limited time all-star set with shiny versions of popular cards in the future, likely for the first anniversary.

In tips theres also an entire category for "textbox" pokemon with ex being the only thing in there implying theyre gonna add more like v max or whatever

Pokemon tools can be dope but *only* with restriction: can't be attached to pokemon EX. Then pokemon EX can have their own exclusive pokemon tools for EX to damage/resist another EX. That way would be more balance.

@@YukiCat14 in the main menu when you open packs you can already “select” an expansion. But the only expansion available right now is obviously Genetic Apex

Yes. People will have to make choices when building their decks, rather than playing the same 12 Trainer cards in every single deck.
