Pokemon UV is a fan-made art project that is conceived as a direct sequel to Pokémon X & Y. The setting of this project will be Southern Kalos (also known as the Agathos Region in the past), a new area connected to the Kalos Region filled with brand new Pokémon, regional forms and characters. The story of Pokémon UV directly continues on from the events of Pokémon X & Y, with the protagonist having thwarted Team Flare's plans and become the new Champion. What adventures will unfold in this new region?

It's most likely a design thing,if you noticed,the Kalos starters(especially Greninja.) Have a very simple yet flashy and awesome design,and giving them Mega evolutions would be a little too flashy and lose the Simplicity that most Pokemon have,which is why lesser detailed Pokemon were given them,such as Charizard or Pinsir,which aren't nearly as detailed as the Pokemon we have now.

Honestly, the kalos region had great potential, too bad it was wasted because of the comments of many people who were unable to appreciate the fifth generation titles and 3D graphics. It wouldn't be bad if they made decent sequels of X and Y and inserted new regional forms, legendary megaevolutions and the like.

Geeta's team has recently been fixed; after you complete the Violet Disk DLC and catch Terapagos, the teams you face at the Academy Ace Tournament will change, and Geeta's altered her team so that she starts off with Glimmora, and finishes with Kingambit as her ace, and Kingambit has Flying as its Tera Type.

My guess for the Kalos starters not getting Megas is nostalgia. Why get new forms of NEW Pokemon you’re just being introduced to? I think it’s also why we only got one Gen 5 Mega (Audino) which was the previous Gen. (But then again there’s Diancie…-Mythical perk?)
