I remember when the original W219 CLS came out back in 2005 and in terms of design it was a game changer. A 4 door car which was a coupe almost and it was all about the roof line curvature. I bought one back last November CLS 320 CDI for 5k and there was a original sale invoice and it was £58,000 brand new.

It sounds as it should sound for a linear six engines. It's completely silent when you're driving. I have one on my w211 e class 2006 without a single major issue. Only things that need to be replaced. These can last for 1 million KM if maintained properly as it should.

You can't judge a sound from a video because microphones pick up small nuances. In real life it is much quieter than the equivalent one from bmw and audi. Sooo.

Because the US has no fucking clue about the benefits out of such an engine in "normal cars" and not only in fucking big Pick-ups or "trucks"! A modern Euro 6d engine is tremendously clean, and in sumn it is even more economically as a fucking EV. You have really no fucking clue, when you demonize the diesel engine!

Mercedes quality is a total embarrassment for the price and they’re going downhill with every model year in terms of design. They still make good cars like the S class but most of their models look very cheap and nasty for the price - unlike Audi, BMW and Lexus.

Obviously it set the trend because it was the first generation... It was the first cls so by definition it would send the trend. That's literally comparing apples to oranges. Wow I'm so dissapointed. Was really looking forward to the new CLS as the gen 1 was really stylish. Not sold on the front end, the offset driving position- wtf?? lack of headroom in the back, not even for 5.11", the horribly sounding transit engine - how much nicer does an audi or bmw 6 cyl diesel sound?! Car needs 20" or bigger wheels as those look cheap.

yeah those wheels look too small. I think Matt is really unfair when he reviews diesel engines. He always opens the bonnet(and any sound proofing), and claims the diesel is loud. The point is, when you are moving, you do not hear the diesel due to tire and wind noise, a point he made later on. Honestly, 6cyl BMW diesel does not sound any better.

Chima Chinda its not the best looking but its not as bad as people make it out to be honestly. The regular cls sure... But the cls53 definitely looks nice from most angles. And even if you don't like the cls the gt63 definitely looks great.

Yeah I agree, but it’s like it downgraded from how gorgeous the previous cls line was, props to that 2012-2014 model which is the best ever looking cls ever made.

Buma Demolition that's subjective. And I think when people say that they generalize.... You need to look at the specifics. For me.... The front of this new cls is much better. And new cls interior is also night and day better for me. However the rear end the old cls looked way better for me.
