But we all knew there must have been that much sealed UFO sitting around. They told us the print run was the same as Wilderness. And yet wilderness was over ordered by LGS' and UFO wasn't. So clearly metazoo was sitting on the excess UFO product in a warehouse somewhere. So that part shouldn't surprise anyone. I think Seance is when Mike knew there was problems. Cause they lowered the print run. And it still didn't sell well

Ufo was a good set. Over printed yes, but with an opportunity to pull a secret Rare that went to space is very creative and cool.

@@UrAveragePlayer0 That’s what I mean. Who orders that much product when you know sales history has never even came close to meeting these numbers? It would take a miracle to sell through all those pallets. Should have been conservative with a 1st edition, could have always reprinted 2nd edition if MZ ever got to the point where it could meet these sales numbers. Wish print runs would have remained much lower, along with many poor decisions it’s ultimately one of the main reasons Metazoo is dead.

I know Charlie REALLY well. I used to work with him many years ago for many years. I actually was a 1 out of the 6 vendors he chose his Collector show at CT Hartford regionals for Pokemon 2019. I'm actually excited to see this and will have to reach out to him about it.

My take on creating the LLC he wants to reduce exposure incase of a lawsuit thr most he has to lose is thr 2M in the company and his personal assets are not at risk. Its like $300 to create an llc which gives you that safety.

I would say im cautious but optimistic. The buyer seems well versed in collectables which is good, but basically no experience with gameplay. Which is bad Amateur and short sighted gameplay is part of how metazoo got into this mess, right? Honestly though, thats my one complaint. I think this will be good.

The concept of Metazoo was awesome. I think they just thought they were bigger then they really were. Maybe it can be revived. Same concept, better art work, simpler game play. They pumped out way to many sets, special promotional cards, and other miscellaneous stuff. They tried to do what pokemon has done in the past 28 years in only 4 years.

I think it would be a good thing, if it's a complete rebuild from the ground up. I checked it out waaay back around the kickstarter days, and one of the things that most put me off from really dropping any money on it was the (IMO) lazy design of the cards. It looked like something a kindergartner drew up in class. I like the *IDEA* of the game, as far as cryptids and such, but I would want to see a more professional look out of a game before I spend money on it vs one of the many other card games out there. If the new owner is willing to do something similar to what happened with Yu-Gi-Oh! and scrap the previous game and start completely over, I think it could have potential to gain some trust back from folks who may feel burned after what happened with the previous owner, and maybe draw in some new folks with a better looking card game.

There were accusations that they were a scam and that they were swapping out cards with lower quality ones they had on hand. Ludkins no longer exists. How much of a hand did he play there?
