This is a lot better plan than previous metro plan which runs along ORR, it should've been planned to run along Inner ring road as it holds more population, now they need to propose plan from aramghar to lakdikapol via attapur,mehdipatnam(after completion of current phase) which will connect all inner ring road.

I agree that this is good. But I think ORR metro is also worth it (especially since it’s in phase 3). If you look at the phase 1 alignment and the revised phase 2 alignment, it covers over 70% of IRR already only missing stretch would be PJTSAU- Attapur-madabtank -already covered with PVNR Expressway and can be also better connected with Lakdikapul-BHEL stretch - which should have still been included in Phase 2. ORR metro may not be viable immediately, but it pays off richly 5 years after operations start (something that a low-credibility govt will be willing to sacrifice to show immediate value projects).

@@anuragyalamanchili but huge chunk of population lives near attapur, aramghar, chandrayangutta, mehdipatnam with only single bus service(300 bus) connecting those routes to lb nagar which has same huge population, this route would provide better connectivity for all people. Also BHEL- lakdikapol route may require costly tunnels as there are too many flyovers and high cost areas to build elevated corridors.

Hyderabad Metro currently - 67km Should build Raidurg to Financial district - 8km MGBS to Airport - 20km BHEL to Lakdikapul - 26km LB Nagar to Ramoji Film city - 15km Miyapur to Isnapur - 13km Nagole to Katedhan - 19km JBS to ECIL - 10km By 2030 Hyderabad should have at least 200km metro length

As per last proposal it was passing through kajaguda lake road, DPS, nanakramguda junction... The complete route is following a road, which I believe should be the government's.

Mostly we wont see any movement due to State Gov and central gov differences. Let wait and see after 5 years.

Still is a must-build line - another one to have built is Miyapur -Kukatpally -Shilparamam - it would’ve been a force multiplier

Raidurg extension via ISB road upto the US consulate is a great plan. The DLF/IIIT junctions and wipro circle have become the main spots of traffic congestion these days. This is understandable, given the presence of many IT/banking companies, educational institutions, schools, and hospitals in this area. Hope this extension will reduce vechicle movements at these junctions. A new metro line from Lingampally to IIIT-H junction can also be planned.

No body talks about road widening on jbs-shameerpet or tarnaka - sainkipuri - ecil - asraonagar . . narrow roads or bridge always traffic .. metro should be made here first -- if congress is capable to develop east

Such a foolish, hatrered change by cm..IT corridor has been scrapped. Its us such a economic corridor for metro, as lakh of peopl travel to airport everyday infactvits convenient to others surrounding places too . Governance should improvise if required not spoil fir the sake of politics .State will go back to where it was if looked at political perspective but not progressive..

Raidurg to US consulate route is most confusing. Why so many big turns and why do we need metro station near consulate. Govt will do this first looks like because it will effect previous govt stake. But US consulate should oppose this by citing security issues.
