David Bowie filmed his first movie in Madrid and it was called " The man who fell to earth". The spaceship he was on landed in Madrid, great movie, give it a shot. I lining Taos for 8 years and love New Mexico. At Christmas time Madrid turns into this state renowned Christmas light destination. They light the whole town up. Wild hogs was filmed there also. Enjoyed the video, gave you a thumbs up 👍, thank you

I have never heard of this trail. I love Sandea Peak. Didn’t realize there was so many things to do. Great way to share all these fun stops you have been to. Mining towns are so interesting. The Origami Display seems so interesting. Great tour.

I enjoyed going to check out all these places there were so many that I had never visited before even though I’ve lived here most of my life. It’s easy to take for granted the places that are close.

Grear video. My suggestion is for a McCalls visit this fall, would like to see through your lens. 🙂

Either last year or the year before I tried to go to McCalls to film an the line of traffic to get in was miles long ! So we skipped it- it doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen this year but hopefully one of these days. Thanks so much for your comment!!

I used to live in Madrid, played guitar at the Mine Shaft Tavern and the Tocorroro (currently closed). Best weed I ever smoked was in Madrid. That was before it was legal tho. I used to shop at the Triangle Market too, it has a lot of good products for being kinda small. Wonderful video! There's actually some new places such as that farmers market, that weren't there the last time I traveled that way.

Madrid, Nebraska is pronounced the same.

Interesting! I didn't know there were any others pronounced that way-

@@SwiftyTravels I think that most, if not all, Madrids in the U.S. are. It is the anglecized pronuciation. We are not a latin based culture and so the people simply pronounced it in the english way.

@@TD-mg6cd I used to live in Madrid, NM. The locals told me they pronounce it that way bc everyone there is "mad" as in crazy. 😂

The water in Madrid is definitely _not_ safe to drink. When I rented my place there my landlord said that "technically you can drink the water" but she didn't recommend it, and neither would I after using it for bathing for a year and a half. Everyone knows the water table was ruined because of all the mining that took place there.
