New MG7 2023 in-depth Walkaround
The MG7, produced by Chinese automaker MG Motor, is a midsize sedan that offers a combination of luxury and affordability. It was first introduced in 2019 and has since gained popularity for its sleek design and impressive features.
The car is available in a variety of colors, including Phantom Black, Snow White, Carbon Grey, Ocean Blue, and Red Velvet. Additionally, there are two main variants of the MG7: the Standard and the Luxury, each offering a range of features and options to choose from.
Some of the notable features of the MG7 include its 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine, which delivers 169 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The car has a fuel economy of 27 mpg city and 34 mpg highway.
The interior of the MG7 boasts leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof, while the exterior features LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, and chrome accents. Surprisingly good design, but not electric? A surprise, too! Although MG seems to be sold here in Germany, this is a Chinese manufacturer and that’s a borderline in this time.. 🏁

How come? Because of Russia/Ukraine and the cost of energy? This plan of electric vehicles is doomed in my opinion. And the idea of it being more sustainable and environment is a lie. Mining and making the batteries is energy intensive and horrible for the environment. The batteries have a limited life time, and then recycling them is highly energy consuming. But needing to charge all of the electric vehicles requires an insane amount of electricity that we cannot currently provide. There is a reason why oil & coal are our primary energy. They are the most energy by mass/volume & relatively easy to obtain. Nuclear energy could solve a lot of problems, but everyone fears it.

​@@jessedavid7487 I've never heard of making engines run simply on air. But all internal combustion engines are essentially air-pumps by function. This is why turbochargers/superchargers make more power out of the same displacement. Nitrous Oxide too, because it shrinks the air & fuel. People here in the USA have made engines that run on water (hydrogen), and the people who created them have died in strange events. I've personally known a man who made his diesel bus run on used vegetable oil that he would obtain from restaurants. These alternative means work yes, but there is a definite issue of scale for most of them. There is also ethanol(alcohol). The prohibition of alcohol in the 1930's may have actually been about it's use as fuel rather than as an intoxicant. Specifically battery powered cars though. Is not a real solution.

@@DraganBakema ja sam uzeo 58kwh verziju sa zadnjim pogonom punim ga na 80 posto jer mi netreba vise od toga dometa. jednom sam ga napunio na 100 posto pokaziva mi 470km domet bez klime. kad upalim klimu 430km. snimit cu video i stavit na svoj kanal. auto ima jako dobar domet po cestama na selu jer se nevozi brzo do 70 na sat 80 .

I am really too much overwhelmed by this car from MG, very impressive in every aspect, seats, bose surround sound, front/rear design, and the dash liked the most. I really want this car in my garage. I didn't find anything disappointing. Kudos to the designers.

How about reliability, durability and resale value? I bought a Lexus ES330 with 100, 000 miles 14 years ago it now has 297,000 miles and still runs like a Ford with 20,000 miles... 😀

@@umaxen0048 Chinese cars are not good quality, but being real, MG quality, even before SAIC acquisition has never been up there. I do back Ford quality, and I think they don’t get enough credit. I’ve ridden Fords with more than 200K miles that work surprisingly well. Are they as good as Toyota? Likely not, but they’re (usually) up there.

MG is very successful in the UK, they sell alot of ZSEV and MG4s. The ZSEV is used by many Uber drivers doing upwards of 100 miles a day, 7 days a week.

Ironic isn’t it how many brands we had that are now effectively history. I think Clarkson summed it up about that Rolls that was built by the Germans and shipped to the UK to be put together and I’m pretty sure he used the word pathetic. Try imagining VAG ending up in foreign ownership, how on earth we the British ended up with our car industry as it is now is still frankly amazing.

@@UnderWarranty That’s right. I used to work for Trade Parts Specialists which is of course a VAG company and I’d imagine the countries of manufacture are still varied. Well I’m not up on those brands to be honest, surprisingly for someone who has always been into cars since I was a kid I never really had any interest in super cars outside of the F-40. A thing I find after so many years into cars is how many parts etc in some cars are not from the manufacturer, for instance the history of Bosch fuel injection.

Design on point, loved the back spoiler (very Cyberpunk 2077), the specs tho, leave a lot to be desired. Mazda 3 has a turbo charged with 227 HP. Need to pump those numbers up!

So….the spoiler of Tesla, the front of a Hyundai/Toyota, the rear a jag..ish, Seats of Honda type r the shifter from a g70. I guess it works Also, is this meant to be an asmr video?? The video just has a better vibe when you have the music in the background while touching things, otherwise the things you touch sound poorly made & very cheap. Just saying, don’t get me wrong. It is sharp looking car!! I preferred my 2020 Ford Escape SE in black. I only have it a little bit over a year. There one feature that it has that is a key pad on the driver’s side door. If I accidentally lock my key fob in the car that I can used the key pad.
