Fun Fact about Rathian: That chin spike is a feeding tube for her Rath hatchlings. Ya know how both Raths are, in Pokémon terms, Fire/Poison types, w/ Rathalos have venomous talons and Rathian having venomous tail barbs? Well, when Rathians feed their young, they incorporate minute amounts of their own venom into the food so that the babies slowly gain a tolerance for their own venom.

It's funny you mention it would be that way without us but in-game it technically always is that way! Part of the Guilds job is making sure the ecosystem can thrive like this, it usually isn’t until something really bad goes wrong cause of a monster or elder dragon that hunts are started/issued. The guilds will literally execute rouge hunters who go out of their way to poach any monster, there is even an order of knights whose job it is to go after the most heinous offenders of nature.

@ChaosKnight83626 күн бұрын
True, the only reason the MH world looks like this is because the Hunter's Guild exists and takes preserving the balance of nature VERY seriously. Y'know, stuff like regulating numbers of monsters, no overhunting, tracking down and punishing poachers, and removing monsters from areeas they should not be in. Ever seen the Guild's Crest? There is a meaning behind it. There four symbols, representing the four values that the association attempts to uphold. The highest symbol represents ‘respect for nature’, the left symbol represents ‘life as a community,’ the right symbol represents ‘prosperity from nature’, while the lowest symbol represents ‘crafting from nature’. Dragon Elders entering a habitat they're usually not found in is treated as PRIORITY NUMBER F***ING ONE! As you said, they're natural disasters made flesh and bone adn even if they're just passing through, their mere presence is enough to completely disrupt an area's ecological status. Can you imagine the devastation the likes of Kushala Daora can cause? And that's one of the least concerning DEs, as in terms of temper and power, it's relatively low on the scale. Imagine what kind of damage a Black Dragon like Fatalis or Alatreon would leave behind. So yeah, the world of MH is only so peaceful because the modern hunters risk their lives every day to make sure nothing messes with the natural order... Well, Dragon Elders, and Deviljhos, those are usually dealt with ASAP, as well, considering their title of "World Eater"... Sry for the rant, I love talking lore and such.

Can you react to the channel called Oceaniz? He does great vids about Monster Hunter lore, one of his vids is about the third game where you can fight underwater. The Rumbling Abyssal King goes over what happens and he adds a believable narrative for the entire game, he also made a couple vids where the Devs (I think that’s who they are) got real life scientists to talk about how certain Monsters would act if they were real.
