Vinsanity!!!!! I’m drowning in Rapid Chargers on top of the standard chargers for $139 plus tax not gonna buy this. Rapid charging is bad for lithium ion batteries to begin with and the fact it takes that long to charge two batteries negates the upside. I’d rather build a tower of power like you did and save that money to buy something with more value, like a tool or a knife! Thanks bro!

plus im noticing the over all life and run time is getting shorter on the batteries when im using the rapid charger over just the standard charger. sure they charge faster but they have a shorter run time and a shorter life span. so whats better longer run time longer life span just take a little longer to charge but vs fast charging but have to buy new batteries sooner. why not just buy a few more and use the slower cheaper chargers.

I just use the 6 bay standard charger. Cycles through each battery one at a time. Just set and forget. 1 power cord, 1 charger, 6 batteries. No clutter. Same deal with m12, use the 4 bay. The 3x12 +3x18 bay charger is ok, but its also huge.

I really really hate the "almost done" green flashing light on the rapid charger. (90% charged or something like that) Time and time again, I keep walking over to my charger because I see a solid green light and think my battery is done, only to have it flash on me mid stride... maybe they should have made it flash faster. I really don't know, but it annoys me. (And maybe only me) But it's a feature I don't care for, and Vince, your right. Why not just use multiple rapid chargers? I totally agree. I guess people always want to spend money and have the next best thing. But it's not always the most practical thing.

I'd love to see a back to back test between the rapid charger and the super charger, both charging 12Ah M18 batteries and the dual rapid charger charging two 12Ah M18 batteries to confirm the actual performance. One possible explanation as to why the dual rapid charger may not charge two 12Ah batteries in the same time as the single rapid charger charges one 12Ah battery, is its maximum power output may not be twice that of the single rapid charger, but for example, it may charge two 5Ah or 8Ah batteries in the same time as the standard rapid charger charges one 8Ah.

I'm getting a dual rapid charger, for free, by buying the right tools... I'll let you know. I currently have an m12/m18 rapid charger and I'll let you know if it's any better than that. I definitely like it, because I do use both platforms, but m18 is about 75% of my daily usage, and I can place 6 batteries at once and come back some time later and they're all charged, which is very nice. (It's also has the through plug to let other devices, without ground pins, plug into it, so it saves outlets. That is a nice feature on construction sites with temporary power only.)
@mikemorgan50154 жыл бұрын
Standard Rapid Chargers or the M12/M18 6 bay charger and a small fan blowing over them. Try it. Works great. You can also set hot batteries in the airflow to cool them down MUCH faster before charging. Need to test that charge time on the dual rapid with 1 and 2 batteries installed. That's crazy.

Hi Vince, I purchased the milwaukee 6 bay rapid charger (3) m18 & (3) m12. Milwaukee should had made this model in a super charger style. This way you have both batteries that can charger faster but really it doesn't charge the m12 any faster then the rapid charger. So i do see the dual without the m12 charger. Milwaukee should had made a dual super charger or a 4 bay super charger like DeWalt. Maybe, they should also make a separate 4 bay m12 rapid charger for does who only use the m12. Just my thoughts. Your rapid charger test video did a 12.0Ah in 113 minutes but is rated at the same 130 minutes as the dual rapid charger, not 90 minutes that was stated . If the dual rapid charger could also do two 12.0Ah’s in 113 minutes (or just using two single rapid chargers like you recommend), both scenarios still beats one supercharger having to charger two 12.0Ah’s sequentially.

The stand alone dual bay rapid charger doesn't make any sense from a product standpoint to me, especially at $139 and if it's slower than the regular rapid charger that comes in the new kits.
