O’Keeffe fitted out her car as a studio and did many early landscapes inside the car, out of the New Mexico sun. I believe it was a Model A. It was her favorite studio. You are in good company.

Hi Lewis. Had Defender and used it as my mobile studio.. Put a roof rack on which I could sit to have a different vanishing point...Felt much safer up on my roof.. Replaced Defender with 4x4 VW Transporter that I converted in a Camper/Mobile studio. Brings me great joy and I'm sure you will have lots of fun with this stunning Landy.

I think you are right about just having fun. I need to just enjoy making marks and play without pressure to come up with a finished piece of work and I often make more discoveries doing it. I don’t think I would have given myself permission to do this without artists like you who share the way they work! Love your mobile studio idea too.

love this crazy idea, I paint out of the back of my Honda pilot, which I can also sleep in, for trips to the desert, or along the California coast.... and next week headed to Idaho! it's an essential part of my art practice!

I think you would enjoy seeing Richard musgrave Evans’s set up in Australia. He is also on KZbin and has an amazing set up and travels all round the outback etc. doing paintings.
