When running content with lots of enemies you ideally want a ring of condemned from the demon/devil party in Avernus. It will cause you to effectively deal damage (you won't but the enemies think you do) in an area around you and thus it's much easier to get thier attention focused on you. For the new trial at least one tank should use it fro the 3rd and 4th phase For the Crown Trial, use the Ancient Scalebreaker or the Slips of rain boots, instead of the Wisps, bewcause the bleed damage is a percent of your hp

just a reminder that the Cat companion can be picked up from the Wondrous Bazaar for 300-400k AD at Rare (blue) quality. I can see people charging 500k for a Common (green) rarity on the AH already. Be smart and save yourselves a few bob folks.

Oh man I've been running the wrong powers! Thank you for all of this info, Paladin is my favorite class and I love to tank but I've always felt like I wasn't doing good enough. I took way too much damage and couldn't hold aggro, now I know why lol

Great info! although depressing to see your Paly so maxed lol. I was BiS in Mod 20-21 after years of work. Now I feel like I have to start all over again with my Paly and the loss of my r15s and weapon r14s..... long way from turning my blue off/def enchants into Mythic and my Mount Insignia from Legendaries to Mythic. Also looks like I have to change out companions again. Still not sure if a Lion is better to help the team or an augment for myself (staying alive). One question.....Curious why the Metallic Dragonbourne dropped to average in races? I can switch to Aasimir , I had just thought MDB was on par.

Thx, the metallic dragonborn dropped, cause with the way item level gives massive amounts of Hp, other sources of hp become less effective and it's better to just stack stats.

this build is mainly for surviving. You want more damaging powers when going solo. You should be fine doing undermountain alone, but use bane to kill stuff

Hi Aragon, hi all. I discovered something I must share, you had mentioned this before Aragon but not why. So nothing in game currently can counter deflection apart from deflection severity which is accuracy.... So if any build really spec more into deflection mainly then use something to reduce npc accuracy one would be tankier better than defense or critical avoidance can offer, so thx for that I spent so much into my build, dieing so easily is very demoralising, keep up the great work appreciated 😉

Hey Aragorn, returning to the game after a few months break and catching up on the recent changes. I'm conflicted between Recharge Speed vs. Stamina Gain especially without Elven Battle now and am curious if you can explain how your current total Recharge Speed applies to your cooldowns? Is the overall decrease to cooldown time actually significant in general? I have always felt like there was, at most, a minuscule difference barely noticeable, but never much cared to question it until now. I may sacrifice all RS bonuses for SG depending, alleviating the need to equip artifacts just for it, but I'd like to know your overall opinion.

I have 2 heal pally's I do like having running as more as a mini attack battle tanks which focus more power, crith and critd, awarness acc defence. I can only hold argo i i can get the first attack in with futon ling range sword air swing fling. Active battle companions i switch between more heal based or more control aoe based depend on the group. The old time i will pull out drizz less often since the nerf. Weapon enhancment gem i do run plegfire because i role play like the look of the fire and the plegfire buff/debuffs are nice.

I feel like the meta for pally tanks is different now most are now using stamina gain gear and stacking way more hp because the stamina shield is synced with your stamina (shield lasts longer for the more hp you have) but most of everything else is on point.

your shield is only 40% of your max Hp, and that goes to 60% when in your special tab power. In the current meta, it is better to stack defense stats, so that you take less damage overal, including on your shield. Have a look at the math, and you can see increasing your defensive stats, will overal result you in taking a lot less damage and so you don't need as much Hp, which also means, the healers can heal you less to get you back to full.

Hello Aragon. Thank you for your videos. Just checking. If the fighter and paladin tank both has 1 million HP. It would take 600k dmg to erase the fighter main shield. It would take 1.2 million HP to erase the main shield of the paladin? Can it be extended to 2.4k million damage if you use the encounter that regen stamina + more with sacred weapon?

Normally as a tank, your shield is 40% of your max HP, but when you activate your special class power, Tab, you increase that to 60% while Tab is activated. None of the classes can go over the 60%, so at a mill hp you have at max 600k shield. Sacred Weapon and Binding Oath will just allow you to "heal" the shield back to full much faster. Shield or "stamina" regeneration.

Yep, it works for all content. I wouldn't worry so much about which companions you use. Just make sure they only have defensive stats, and ideally not Hp

Love your vids dude. Always gives me food for thought. Any hints for agro when a top tr at full pelt takes it? Is it in the timing of smite when the artifacts drop? Before or after in your opinion or do you do something different? He really hits that hard it's tough lol

Maybe try going for the combat aventage on the emeny targate. Also try an aoe control companion like wayward wizzard, intelectial devour, spin devil, abbyssel chicken can drow argo but was nerfed at least twice since luanch and the newest abbyssel chicken nerf was not needed. Drizz and regius are both can be useful on the combat aventage side.

Got back on NW after a few years away and i have to say they really really fucked this game up big time. Its a joke now and not even a shadow of its former self. Its like playing with one hand tied behind your back . Even after all these years and changes one thing remains the good old NW lag . My guess is they kept the lag there because they changed the game so much people would not recognize it . So they kept the lag to make it seem like its still NW when it is clearly not anymore.

It will take a while before the dust settles on all these changes and people get good builds. So I cannot say now. Rogues, Warlocks, and Rangers are good, but so is Barbarian and Cleric if played right.

No, no difference with a +1, you can also get the older stronghold sets, perhaps cheaper aswell.

A New problem i notice is that it is gettng more difficult to get ressources to build a guild... Quartermaster and dragon hoard enchantment is gone in mod 22= no spoil of war surplus ressources or extra gem... They Are slowly doing it very difficult and very expensive to build a guild

surplus equipment and proffesion supplies are 2 of the easiest to max out. surplus equipment from the outfiter's pvp equipment in the stronghold and proffesion supplies vouchers drop like rain in the amazon. the ones that are the most annoying to build are purple heroic shards

the ring of dark, reduces the enemies accuracy by 30%, thus basically giving us the effect of 30% deflect severity

Personally I don't find a big difference, not woth the item level increase getting up to nearly 80k with decent gear. Your going to have to rely more on timing than dealing extra damage. But every little helps if you feel you can sacrifice the survivability

when you have 2 companions with the "companions of the hall" bonus, they will both give 4.7% on each stat. So I have Bruenor and Regis slotted

Because I can tank the trial without it. And they give very little extra threat. The ring of condemned is yup the best when aggroing groups of enemies and for the trial at least one tank should have it equipped

What do the colors on the stat numbers mean? When I have potions etc running, I have one that is Red. It’s one that I’m trying to buff up (with potions/food) but the red color makes me think it’s capped or something. My % is not near the 90% cap so that’s not it. Also, I’ve seen some green numbers on other toons. I assumed this meant this stat was buffed but that doesn’t fit with my red number.

your stat numbers are capped by your item level. any stat higher than iLVL will be capped in red, and the green ones are when the stat is at it's best atm correct me if i'm wrong

Ratings, the numbers that can change color, white green or red, can give a max of 50% of their stat to the % When it shows green, you are at this max 50% If it shows red, you are just adding too much ratings that just become wasted. When a rating is equal to your item level you get the max 50%. Red the tooltips!

Yooo I don't like at all deflect build because it's work well just with personal buffs and augment pet and it's not constantly like awareness build, if u take for example the 3th/4th ball in tomm and deflect doesn't proc you can easily die 2nd- if you are using deflect build, why are you not using ring of darkness? It's give 30% accuracy debuff, mean you "earn" passive 30% deflect severity 3th- aoe build, you get 0 bonus from your set, and you have not the "aggro ring" try instead a build with a lot of speed and r1 aura: Aggro set+sacred weapon+talent for extra treat+feat for extra treat+r1+3th talent for shield(for divinity regeneration), everything touch your r1 aoe it's yours. Speed 'll help you to grab all the mobs cause r1 drain your divinity very fast. The last feat is absolute useless, 10 magnitude is nothing 4th- in st, the skill for more resistance is useless too, just in cok is useful, others dungeons you don't need all this resistance, I use the last one for make more damage=more aggro Or when I'm on vistani set I use the other one aggro skill too with smite for the beginning of the fight 5th- raptor doesn't work as you said With your explain ppl understand that even if you use awareness raptor, other ppl 'll get the full power bonus of raptor, no. Ppl 'll get 4xpower 1xawareness bonus from raptor This is the reason nobody use it Dps wants the full bonus for raptor, doesn't need awareness bonus Have a nice day!

It is too bad that the lighting enhancement gem is not going to be in mod22 because lighting is great on any class to srow some or a lot of argo depenting on the class ps lighting did also come in handy for hitting multible targats expecially when protrcting a moving tartgate. What a very dumb oversight on cryptic studieos and perfect world to totally remove from the game at least 2 of the best selling weapon enhancement gem lighting and vorpal not that any of the weapon and armout enhancement gems should of been removed from neverwinter in mod22. Also it is also a mistak tofor cryptic studieos and perfrctworld to totally remove decicated weapon enhancement slot and armour deticated weapon enhancement slot only to replace with only one combat slot. Which will spit up people choosing to run armour enchatment or weapon enchantment. I do peronsonally will have to choose run weapon enchatment more then armour which does totally break roleplay emerson just to have newer higher item level grast with nerfed buff/debuff rating on the weapon enchatment. Armout enchatments might of gotton in mod22 a slight buff but i do not see my using armout enchatment in mod22.

Ah, as support you have to support your party, your top 3 list are disaster! Aasimar makes hard to the middle dps to proc ribcage, human useless, dwarf just personal defens bonus... The other one who makes defens debuff should be on tier 1

The list was for personal survivability, so you can tank things easier! I would reconsider Aasimar too, since it gives Hp which isn't great in the new trial cause the bleeds. You can go full support and take one of the drow to help your teams damage if you don't need the survivability
