4:44 This mod is great but you can see some of their limitations with the water right here and the odd tree light in the first part. Like something with the cutscene is messing with the shadows and textures and makes the water all wonky and white, before it flashes normal for one second, and then in the actual boss fight looks normal and great again.

by "Translucent" do you mean Lustrous or luminous? because translucent just means when something is slightly see-through/allows light through. Like fabric, fog or clouds. Lustrous means to have a shine to it. Other words that would work are glossy, gleaming, burnished, polished and luminous. Not to nitpick or anything. Just a little confused. anyway, love the content

This mods shadows are great but also . . . How is there light in the torch-less parts of blight-town and quelaags area? Maybe the former has light coming from up above, as I think there may be openings, but shouldn’t the latter be pitch black aside from the fiery light coming from where she exits from?

Lots of people don't use shields, as you don't need them after you've played through enough times, you always just dodge. Twohanding gives you more damage, and if you have enough equip load you could still have the grass crest shield, equipped for the buff, but on your back. Easily available if you decide you want to use it.

I agree. As someone who actually worked shit tons with PBR materials, 3D and graphic in general. I'm surprised that its so well received, cuz ngl simple Reshade with RTGI and AO would already make a bigger difference. Also that "10.1gb" is not an valid argument, since if you upscale textures poorly, you might just end up with x2-x4 bigger texture that doesn't even add any extra details and all is left is 5 % better texture with 200% bigger size. I believe this mod would benefit from collaborate with additional 3D artist specialized in Materials.

A failed remaster means one enemy design is slightly worse. Subjectively. While adding personality to each distinct area, making most of the bosses look more like demons and less like furnace robots, re doing all the voice lines with the original voice actors, adding hit physics to multiple bosses, adding a secret armor set, shortening the loading times, and running at 60fps with modern resolution. I've played the og on 60fps emulator, and while I personally like the og music more, that's about it. Who could forget the sweet sound of the audio completely bugging out at various ares each level, on ps3 and it's emulator! The bloom so intense that you can barely see whats going on in the storm lands caverns! Or king allants aoe that lags your ps3 right before it's misaligned hitbox takes a quarter of your health! Why did blueprint change this?!?! Failed remake! The only thing i truly miss is the character creator from the og, it's neutered in the remake
