I ain't going to lie, the Aldricth fight was a fucking cool mechanic. The boss starts with low health, with his minions healing him, and once you kill them all he starts with whatever amount you were to slow to stop him from getting? Fucking outstanding.

As someone who has about 1000 hours in all the soulsborne franchise, seeing all the animations and enemies compiled into one game is the truest love letter to these games I could ever think of. The creators of Archthrones truly know what makes these games fun, and decided to add to the already great formula in a way that’s just genuinely fun. Love this mod!

@@billywayne1007 Honestly I don't think it's his voice that makes it bad (though I admit hearing such a recognizable voice can break immersion), but the fact that the editor for his voice just didn't do anything to it. In Dark Souls, characters' voices have this weird echo-like effect, and ones with helmets or masks have it muffled slightly. While the editor has replicated these effects very well for every other character, they're absent for the Keeper. The only reason I can imagine they would do this is because they just REALLY wanted people to know it was Vaati.

honestly, amazing work, i think the modding here is probably some of the best in the entire souls history... they basically made an entire souls game, and they did it in a way that honors the series as well as calling back to each title independently. other modders would have made like one boss and maybe one level and been done with it... the sheer amount of work here is amazing.

On the topic of reused animations and such, I will say I think it can actually be really cool, seeing how different certain enemies/bosses are when you don't have a given game's moveset. Like I've seen a bunch of enemies that were based on ones in sekiro (The carthus curved sword guy is an ashina general, the spear variant is seven spears, the fat one is a drunkard, the first boss of Eleum Loyce is the corrupted monk) and it's really interesting fighting them in an actual souls game, since my toolkit is so different from what I'm used to fighting them with. Even ones from different souls games can be interesting, especially ones from ER because suddenly you're facing them without the option to jump.
