in this tutorial I will be pouring into my handmade mold of an apple with Lets Resin casting resin. This apple measures 3" x 2". I am using the Lets Resin alcohol ink Sugalite for my color. I did fill the mold versus doing it in layers.

I think everyone misunderstood my question. I wasn't implying that I am the only resin artist on KZbin that knows or does blooms at all. Everyone keeps bringing up other channels that they watch that does blooms and are comparing mine to theirs. That isn't what I was asking. I might not have been clear in my explanation. What I was trying to ask was, by what I have shown on my channel in my videos, doing blooms, were my videos clear in the explanation of how to achieve the bloom? Could YOU after watching my video, walk away and feel confident enough with my instruction to try a bloom with my steps? Meaning, do I need to do a better video explaining the process if your answer is no? Does that make sense??? Or clear as mud???

Mary, that’s a very good question. I’ve been watching for probably eight months and I’ve gone back and watched everything that you’ve done. I’ve watched what glitz and glitter and pouring your heart out and several others with Michelle and I’ve learned a whole lot from everyone and I appreciate that question, part of me says yes part of me says no because I get confused on the different kind of blooms that are out there. There’s the crackle there’s the one with the leaves, but I think I might be able to do it. I tried to do the one where you did it with the black and white And that didn’t turn out and I don’t know what I need to do to change it but I’m gonna try again in the next couple of days but thank you for that good question to us and don’t ever change who you are. I love your show. I love your secrets. It’s a surprise. I love all that that you do so don’t ever change. I think you are a great teacher, I personally have learned a lot from you thank you thank you very much from Cheryl

Thank you Cheryl, I personally don't do any other blooms but the 3d flower bloom and the reason for this is because in order to learn how to do all the fancy ones you have to take the online courses for a fee and then you are not allowed to share any details of what you have learned. For me, that's not teaching anyone, I don't charge for my videos and never will I am happy to teach anyone that wants to learn. I may not be a professional but I do the best I can. I appreciate your continued support of my channel and I am always here to help in any way I can.

YES A VIDEO. PLUS - I am new to this, and I would like a place where to go to get the basics. There are lot of You Tuber's that have great videos from a lot of great people, - but they assume that you have already poured, and have everything to use, and know what you are doing. I would like Starting with basics, different resins (what different examples you use and why you prefer them). They come out with different kinds all the time. Showing equipment , and moulds - The differences what to look for, when, and how to use it. There is so much equipment out there - where to buy. Different techniques & additives how to use. Play list for each. And then where do you begin? The cost can be a big deterrent to trying to start a new hobby, and after struggling so much to gathering the info, why bother. It is suppose to be fun , relaxing, and bring you deep healing happiness after a hard days work. I have been watching for many, many months, But have not started due to $$$, and probability of failure. These are just my feelings.

Could I do a bloom from what you have shown me? That’s a hard one to answer with just a yes or no Mary. The reason being… I have watched so many bloom videos, from so many artists; and I couldn’t say what, exactly, I have learned from each of you. Having said that… if I just consider how you present each of your videos (blooms as well as everything else), it would be a clear yes, because you always present your videos in a clear, easy to follow format… you don’t rush, or brush over important steps. So, in conclusion, I can confidently say that, if your bloom videos were the only ones I’d ever watched, I could happily go away and produce one. Would I say no to another bloom instructional video? No, definitely not; but not because I think you’ve been hiding some magic trick up your sleeve all this time… simply because it is another video from you, and I love the way you present your videos! 😊 As for this stunning apple… OMG it’s beautiful!! And I think that’s it’s worth your while casting silicone moulds of the stem and leaf that can go with the apple… or you could just make one mould, if you used some UV to connect the stem and the leaf again first. That way you’ll always have the right stem and leaf to go with the apple. Just my thoughts?! Looking forward to having Rylee create with you again!! Much love, Nat. ♥️♥️🇦🇺

@@resinmeup I wasn't meaning you didn't give enough information, I was meaning that people will take away from videos that which they pay close attention to, and if they didn't pay close enough attention then they won't know how a particular technique is done. We, as crafters, can only explain how to achieve getting results so many times! I think you'd do well to maybe create a playlist of your videos that you explain the steps for a bloom, and a separate playlist for each technique used. It was about the 3d blooms and how they felt they had asked about inks and resin but never get an answer, and they felt like resin artists didn't want to share the information. This has nothing to do with the online courses. And my question to you all was merely about how I have presented my 3d blooms and if you all felt confident in my instruction videos that you could do one on your own following my video, and if the answer was no, then do I need to do a step by step video for you all. I have managed some beautiful results, but never a "proper" bloom. I would vote for a full tutorial, but I am pretty sure that my failures are because I have to do all of my crafting out of my bedroom, so doing everything on a board laid on my bed, or on a lid of an old plastic bin, again, across my bed or on the floor, just makes some things harder. Like getting anything level, lol I don't have a single sheet that doesn't have resin on it 0_o One day...Sorry.. bit of a tangent. Anyway, I think that doing a video of your process step by step is an excellent idea, if for no other reason than to be able to reference it when people have questions.

I don't think blooms are what they were talking about. They were talking about the Larimar, Fairy, Dragon Flower, Grecian Flower, Chrysanthemum, Daisy Belly Flower and other similar coaster courses that you have to pay to learn how to do or figure out through trial and error and lots of wasted resin. The youtubers who do those pours don't share exactly how much resin you split into cups and how much color and white that you use because that is what they agreed to when they paid to take the course. I understand that it's frustrating to watch someone day after day after day for months do a pour and never tell you exactly how to do that pour. But the youtuber made an agreement when they paid for the lessons. That is the business and livelihood of Majka who developed those pours. It would essentially be stealing to give away her work. Not to be harsh but they can either pay for the courses like the youtuber did (like I did) or get over not knowing how to do it. If they don't like that the youtuber keeps doing those pours then go watch someone who doesn't do them. Anyway, yes I've used Teexpert. I actually really like all their resins. And they have great discounts all the time. They are actually one of the cheaper quality resins. Their fast cure is my favorite of all the fast cures I've tried.

Oh I completely understand the online courses and how you are held to secrecy on the formulas. This was actually a convo about blooms and the fact we don't tell anyone what kind of resin, inks we use and paste we use when asked and that those of us that know how to do them don't want anyone else to know this information. I personally have not even attempted to do any of the other types of blooms because they just don't interest me. Thank you for the info on Teexpert, I really like the UV they sent me. Now to test the silicone, Im worried about it because no where on anything does it state the shore hardness. So Im up in the air about what to make a mold of.😂😂

@resinmeup I read a conversation like that and someone eventually mentioned resincourses in it. But I also see the same people have conversations in 4 or 5 different groups about the same thing...just different responses in each group. And blooms aren't hidden. If someone thinks they are either they aren't paying attention or aren't watching the right youtubers. You give very detailed instructions, Michelle (Glitz n Glitter) does everything except mix the initial resin in hers, tea and art is detailed, and I even hate to admit it because I have no love for the woman, Julie (PYHO) is even detailed. And any time someone has issues and I see their post I give them detailed step by steps (I'm overly detailed, unfortunately) especially in Michelle's group because I help her moderate it. I know some people think steps are hidden because they can't get it right. But it takes practice, not everyone gets it right away. Years later and I still mess it up sometimes. And I cannot for the life of me do it with Castin Craft, but I can get it perfect every time using Ocean White. And others can't use Ocean White to do them. I honestly think where you live, your weather, humidity, house temperature....all play a factor in what might work for each person. I somehow can do one with metallic inks, but others try and can't. Speaking of that, mixing metallic inks to resin is how I do a metallic bloom. That's why I said try mixing the Unicorn Spit to resin. Anyway, I'll hush now. 😁

@resinmeup If I had to guess to guess on shore hardness it will be around 20A because that's the normal hardness for most molds and what most companies release first or at all. Let's Resin is one of the few that does silicone for everything. So do something that would be easy to demold. Maybe go find something interesting at a thrift store to mold....people don't do that enough. Heck, I don't do that enough. Maybe you can reach back out yo Teexpert and ask them for the shore hardness, too. And tell them crafters will want to know that so they know what it can be used for. Can't wait to see what you do make.
