I know everyone’s comparing Unforseen to Trail of Torment, but I like to think of it as Dark Devotion for a generator. It’s a short burst of stealth where your terror radius is somewhere else, tricking survivors. Whereas for Trail of Torment, everyone knows you have it, even if they don’t know where you are. Both are good perks imo!

Yeah I get that they're both generator undetectable but ToT is more long term, general undetectable, and info on gens, while unforseen is more short term, terror radius confusion, and more gen prevention

​@@gremlinwc8996you can use both in an undetectable build, while ToT is on cooldown, you can use Unforseen. If survivors tap the tormented gen immediately, you still have undetectable value from Unforseen

@@gremlinwc8996 if you think ToT is more long term, you must be mentally challenged. No offense, but ToT shows a yellow aura on the gen to survivors, any above average survivor would just run straight up to it and stop your Undetectable unless you patrol that specific gen and stop them from touching it (which is counterintuitive). Dunno how much you used that perk, but I've used it a lot, and the cases in which i get more than 15 seconds of use out of it are rare. Then when they stop it, it goes on cooldown for like a minute Meanwhile Unforseen gives you 30 seconds of Undetectable, it can't be stopped, and it has no cooldown. 30 seconds is enough time to go from a gen to another and catch someone offguard get a hit or down, then you can apply it again since it has no cooldown. Unforseen is 10 times better than ToT at achieving the same thing

I don't know if this is just me, but I noticed when I used the perk Unforeseen. If I continuously hit generators, the undetectable will reset back to 30 seconds. Meaning you can chain generators and keep being undetectable for longer.

Fully agree with everything in this video! I do also wish the power was more thematically/aesthetically on brand for the killer's appearance and the teasers we were provided with. The killer's design on it's own is amazing. The power (gameplay wise) is amazing. But meshed together, it feels kinda weird, like they don't really fit yk? Especially when we don't really know what kind of creature it is, I could look past it if there was some lore reason for firing pink grenades from his throat, but we don't really know. Overall though, very good update, and the reception I've seen is also extremely positive. After a lot of misses, we've landed a banger chapter. Good video btw, I appreciate your content and effort!

1) I saw someone said, the Unknown looks like default Dwight. So I expect other default survivors as skins 2) also, part of it's lore as I understand, is that it appears like others imagine it to look. Olivia imagined it as distorted Dwight, so it looks like it. If that's so, then it's even more opportunities for it's skins. Can't wait to see it's rift cosmetics

Big props to BHVR with this whole chapters and another details are love are animations! So many new animations with interacting killers decoy or the ritual in the basement! So cool, if we think about it, bhvr using same animation for boon, glyph and snowballs! So it's such a big step ahead! 🎉

I was thinking crawling would be cool just for creep factor, but realistically, it could give The Unknown a speed boost at the cost of reduced visibility and maybe a shorter attack distance or something. Funnily enough, if you read descriptions of the killer's power and add-ons, there would be no more mystery in his origin. He's actually a government (or probably Black Vale's) experiment. Probably, something similar to the Dredge - an experiment with Fold Energy.

Ive got couple: The Look, concept and a Sounds are amazing. But the Power and Gameplay seem weak and kinda Boring. Its pretty Much Singularitys Infection shots and Teleports mixed with Clowns Blast Projectiles and Doctors Hallucinations. If the Killer didint look so cool id probably say a 3/10 Killers but the apearance puts it at 7/10. Tho axe as a weapon seems very odd.

This is a killer, more than anything, carried by aesthetics. The Unknown is, bar none, the creepiest looking killer, to the point I might not sleep for a good week without him bugging me out. But gameplay he’s like a bastard child of Huntress, Dredge and the Hag which is super weird. Also, he moves normally when we had the intro and mori crawling around in contorted chaos.

I’m pretty sure I’m wrong but I think the unknown look is the manifestation of what someone thinks of it is in this case Olivia’s drawing made her picture what it could look like so it took on the drawings appearance to get more fear out of Olivia because my theory is it’s fear itself not just urban legends made by people it could be the origin of the unknown it’s like that quote “when you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back at you” but instead of the abyss it’s fear but who knows we don’t know much about the unknown to make a clear conclusion on what it is yet

So The Unknown is Basically like Dredge, an Amalgamation. It has parts of every Theory. The Ability UGX is part of the Movie and Theatres Theory. Hallucinations and Basically its Alien Parts is part of the Area 51 and Hallucinogenic Experiments Theory. The Weapon and The Face it produces is part of the Serial Killer Theory and the Drawing one of the Victims Kid drew. And well with the last theory, where Olivia guessed the Fog is apart of The Unknown. Well well, The Fog took its chance and stole the Unknown before it could eat the final Theorist. I guess the teleportation is also a part of the Missing Out of Thin Air Theories, for Mikaela and others. Which fits the mori, where it sucks its victims and they just disperse into nothing ess

Honestly, as long as the survivors don’t mind going against it. I’m going to love playing this killer and the fact that we know so little about this thing is better because it allows for players to have head cannons. My personal is that it’s some kind of woodland spirit that feeds off of fear before consuming you and using your voice to do continue its existence.

Something interesting about the killers cosmetic is that its base default skin is from a set called “THE UNKNOWN ABERRATIONS” which is weird because side it would implement a store or tome set. Could it be another dredge situation where the base skin would’ve been a store skin and had a different design?

Unknown gives me similar vibe to Fiddlesticks from League of Legends (by lore andappearance, not gameplay) They both are creepy creatures beyond average human's understanding. Victims dissapears without a trace, Try to mimic humans by visuals and sound with poor results, Use some sort of twisted/broken weapon, Have twisted body with unnatural set of movements (even with crawling on all four)

Just got done watching the trailer for this chapter with my brother. Anyone else see that The Unknown has a similar outfit to base skin Dwight? After watching the trailer I figured out what the Unknown actually is. It’s Dwight’s or one of the character’s alternate. You know “If you see someone that looks identical to to you, run away and hide.” This is my interpretation from the trailer due to the old vhs type of intro it had like most analog horror. Edit: Considering that the Unknown also speaks it kinda solidifies my theory just a tiny bit more.

I think the appearance is supposed to be the person killed in camping video, before the creature pounces, you could see it opening the tent, it looked fairly monsterous and lacked human features, but in the middle the attack, you could see its head again but this time it had hair Perhaps it stole the mans skin?

I think the aside from the power not being what i expected and being slightly disappointing, I kinda wish the mori had continued to experiment with the gore they were allowed to show, sort of like Xenomorphs or the Singularities. But honestly it's only a really small things for me. Overall i actually enjoy the sounds this thing makes and the fact that it isn't really a human. Also i just love the cinematic that survivors get when dispelling the killers clones.

Husband material, lol. All that joking aside, I'm seriously impressed by the design. It looks like something straight out of Zanki Zero. The map is a real treat! Sable's basement perks sound like a good idea, but...they seem incredibly niche in application. Basement has always been the one place I do my best to avoid as a survivor. Hearing Super Monkey Ball music out in the wild sure did wake me up. 😂
