Great review Carlos, Montale is a great house for longevity and sillage. I enjoyed the fact that you noted that it’s beast mode (in my opinion the only perfumes worth the money is if they actually do the job! One can easily choose wether to go light handed or not).

I loved the comparison to the Intense Café. I have it and enjoy it but my gripe was it didn't have as much coffee aroma as I'd like. I’m glad that ristretto came along. I purchased the original Montel intense Café back in 2013. Back then it smelled like a very sweet and sticky cup of latte with a little bit of oud and rose. However I purchased a second bottle back in 2017 and it did not smell quite like the original one. I think it was reformulated. The juice in my second bottle is big on the Rose and amber. I don’t get any coffee and the tiny oud kiss in my second bottle. The trace of coffee is totally gone. So I feel this new one is going to be much better for coffee lovers.

Beast Moooooooooooooooooooode! So great to hear about the fullness of the coffee note in this one Carlos. It sounds like Montale fixed all the things I would have changed in the original Intense Cafe (strong jammy rose and subdued and lack of longevity in the coffee note) and on top of that made it more gourmandish with better performance...Would love to try this one out. Love montale . I have the original & if the coffee note is big as you described here then I am definitely in love already . The 2019 releases are just solid .
