Really liking this style of edit, with a few short clips of the pedals being played right at the start.

Hey Ryan, a lot of those sounds are in the Ocean Machine by Mooer, which I own, and you DEFINITELY need to check it out since you can stack 2 delays and a reverb with an independent shimmer control

The Ocean machine is great value. I really like that you can rearrange the order the effects are in or stack them, plus put the looper where you want in the chain. The shimmer on it is pretty good for it's price range too.

Thanks so much for mentioning this. I was going to go A7 and D7 to experiment with ambient, but after hours of Ocean Machine videos, I see it's probably the better move. Fantastic.

The A7 comes off as an ok reverb with another layer of pad/synth type sounds that aren't really integrated into the signal. Someone on reddit commented that if you get a pair a Boss delay with a Boss reverb you can get most of the sounds that all of these cheap boutique boxes can come up with, along with a solid implementation of the reverb/delay. Those cheap boxes are made attractive with the artwork & price but you'll save money in the long run with a solid reverb/delay combos. Doesn't have to be a specific brand, just one that is known to have mastered vanilla reverb first. I ordered the A7 & Mariana, but looking into pedals more, I'm guessing that I'll send them back in exchange for a brand that can pull off the basics first.

Pretty cool. Think I prefer the delay. Feels like maybe it does too much? If it was a bit cheaper and just did the rainbow and galaxy settings or something
@wychwoodmusic10 ай бұрын
For some reason the video froze on Ryan's discombobulated face while the audio continued the first time I tried watching this, but... I reckoned it was perfect. Also that the rainbow setting sounds a lot more useable and pretty than just about anything I've heard come out of the EQD Rainbow Machine. I'd call it deliciously weird where the Rainbow Machine seems to specialize in making weird ugly sounds, at least to my ear. Anyways, tiny ambient monsters for a pretty reasonable price, who could resist?

To be honest the reverb pedal seems much more usable than the delay. My brother isn't a musician but if he had that delay, he would just strum open strings and turn the pedal knobs just to see the most craziest sounds he can get out oc it for a joke.

The rainbow delay sounds awfully similar to something, I just can't put my finger on it. Oh! That's right, the Earthquaker Devices Rainbow Machine. Also kinda hate that they called one of their knobs on the reverb "x". Seems like a blatant copy of the Slö by Walrus Audio. I appreciate the cheap guys like Moore putting out great products like these, I just wish they didn't directly attach other companies ideas to their products, have a little creativity and at least come up with a different name when lifiting other people's stuff.

I'm debating between getting the Slo or this pedal. Do you think it's a Slo "clone"? X -> X, Decay -> Decay, Mix -> Mix, Chaos -> Depth, and Tone -> Filter. Also, same pedal color and painted stars, plus the Infinite option (where the difference between this and the Slo is that you don't have to keep pressing the footswitch.. BUT I think with the Mooer, you can continue playing the Reverb setting, where as in the Slo, it's dry).

Just got my D7 and must say not at all what the hype says kinda cheesy and hard to dial in a good sound and when switching to another sound the previous one you lost your edit very frustrating looper weak and only a couple effects are really nice sounding after tweaking them in. The rest of the pedal is awful sounding. Spend a few more dollars and get a real ambient pedal Like Polara or EHX Tone Tattoo I have both and the Canyon is nice too. This D7 works better with another pedal with it stand alone very limited. most setting unusable to me. Would never use one live just not refined for that home hobby jaming for fun thats about it. Was going to get the A7 but think not after the D7
