Moo [or "Mu"] in Korean is radish. So we, fans, are "radish radish" lol When Mamamoo look out to their crowds of fans, they see a field of radishes. So, in case no one's said it yet, "WELCOME TO THE RADISH FARM!" The Immortal Songs Medley is a medley of covers they performed on a variety competition called "Immortal Songs." The show is made to showcase a throwback of Korean classic hits (mostly featuring a certain classic artist per episode) that current artists/contestants cover/reimagine. Byul always adds a rap that would've never been in the original.

WOW! 90 min long Mamamoo reaction video. I don't think I have ever seen one that long. You're next level.😅 This guide is really good, it shows why Mamamoo fans love them so much and call them crackheads. 🤣 Solar seems crazy a lot of times, but 90% of the time she's acting like that because she wants to see her girls happy after so many bad things happened with all of them in the past. Not just in the industry, but in their personal lives too. She's a fantastic leader. When you'll see "Why Mamamoo is the most underrated kpop group" video too, you'll understand them even more. BTW, Solar doing her 2nd musical theater show right now, so her dream became true. I just realized, that the reaction to that video in included in this too. Excuse my ignorance.🤣 Sorry for the long comment, btw, but I will try to answer every question of yours. 19:55 - Yes, that was real, on a radio show I think, but it was a joke.😅 28:03 - Fancafe is basically an official and free fanclub for every Korean artists. You can find news, vid, limited merch etc on the page. 32:31 - Yeah, that was cute, you should check out their Queendom performances too, one day. But the sad thing about Queendom is that even tho she looked cute, her mental state was not great at all at the time, to say the least. 34:32 - They're all 160cm with like 1cm difference, there's a song about that too btw, the craziest song you'll ever hear.🤣 42:10 - Yes, people saw her in that show as a normal human, so they finally understand that what they see on stage is just one side of her. Sadly, Korean standards are crazy, but the fact even after all that shit, she just won the "Icon of the Year" yesterday, proved that hard work and remaining being yourself paid off. People love her more because she didn't change. Still can't believe everyone in the industry said they will flop, because they're not pretty, but still they became one of the best vocal group in Korea, even Quincy Jones praised them before their debut. If you want to react to their Immortal Songs performances, here's all 14 plus one from Solar. mamamoo.fandom.com/wiki/Immortal_Songs_2 58:25 - These are not their songs, all of them are covers of Legendary Korean songs that they performed on "Immortal Songs 2" tv show, that's a vocal competition show. Their first performance was 6 months after their debut. They had to compete with legendary singers, and they won the main award 3 times. Also, yes, it was their '4Seasons' concert, I think. They performed this Immortal Songs Medley after a 4 hour long concert. 1:01:10 - Yes, it's their light stick.🤣 You can read what it means here: mamamoo.fandom.com/wiki/MOOMOO 1:24:50 - Yes, Moonbyul sings in Mamamoo too, but not many times, because RBW basically "forced" her to be the main rapper. She was an SM trainee back in the day btw, so no wonder she's a great vocalist too. Also, she won a vocal competition show for rappers, it's called "The Second World". Side note about Wheein: The girls love to tease other, especially Wheein, but they do it because they know how hard her life was since she was a little kid, thanks to her idiot dad, who left them, but used her fame for stealing money from other people. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. -------------- Hmm, looks like YT deleted my comment, their AI is "working fine" again. So here's the comment again, this time, in this one, hoping they won't delete it. Sorry if you will see it twice, but YT just don't want to accept my comment. Maybe their AI don't like too many info at once.🤣 In a separate comment for recommendations: Honestly, it's hard to recommend anything, so I think it's the best for you if you're doing it in release order, at least for the MV's. That's probably the best way to see their journey and how they evolved as artists. And of course there are the live performances too, like "Immortal songs 2" that I already mentioned and post a link for every video in my other comment. For Queendom, here is a link for every performance: mamamoo.fandom.com/wiki/Queendom Moonbyul's "The Second World" vocal contest show: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Second_World_(TV_series) For their Award show or Concert live shows you can use their Wikia page or Wiki, because there's a LOT, so I don't want to flood your comment section with all of them, but I'm pretty sure, all Mamamoo fans will love every reaction video that you'll make in the future.😅

I don't blame you at all for the long video. I stumbled across Mamamoo when I first checked out kpop in 2016 via their 2nd single Piano Man and followed moomoos' suggestions to check them out on the singing competition tv show Immortal Songs 2. My mind was blown by their cover of the old Tom Jones song Delilah and I binge watched all of their Immortal Songs performances up til then. As moomoos like to say, Once you Wheein you can't Whee-out. Moo means radish in Korean, hence the radish shaped light sticks. Before they had light sticks Korean moomoos used to show up at MMM events wearing radish costumes and carrying real daikon radishes. Moomoos often welcome new fans by saying Welcome to the radish field (or farm) and new fans are called baby radishes. Dorks R Us. lol The Immortal Songs Medley was filmed at a Mamamoo concert in 2017. It includes snippets of some of the covers they performed on Immortal Songs between 2015-17. MMM appeared on the show 14 times between 2015-19 and Solar later appeared as a soloist. Immortal Songs is a highly regarded singing competition show where artists perform new arrangements of classic (immortal) songs, often as a tribute to an older artist who is the featured guest on that episode. Back when MMM were rookies and started appearing on the show Immortal Songs was mostly dominated by well-known mainstream singers. Kpop idols rarely appeared on the show and usually didn't fare very well in the competition. Mamamoo quickly earned the respect of their seniors and were invited back repeatedly, earning a rep as the monster rookies nobody wanted to go up against. They became the first girl group to win an episode and the first idol group of either gender to win multiple episodes (3). Moonbyul only rapped or sang harmonies on MMM songs up til 2018 but since then she's been singing more and more and has become another weapon in their vocal arsenal. In 2022 she won a landslide victory on the competition tv show The Second World, where 8 extremely talented girl group rappers competed as singers. I take a different view of Solar as a solo artist Like Mamamoo, Solar charted a different path in pursuing her solo career. Though she was the last member to make her official solo debut with Spit It Out in 2020, she was the first member to release solo songs with MVs with a series of covers from 2015 to 2018 that were collected on the album Solar Gamsung (Emotion) in 2018, the first solo album released by one of the members, and was immediately followed by the first solo concerts by a MMM member, which were also the first solo concerts by a member of any 3rd gen idol group. She also released a number of collabs with other artists, competed on competition shows like Immortal Songs, and performed as a soloist at award shows and special events like KCON LA in 2019. So dating her solo career from 2020 is deceptive and doesn't really do her justice as a solo artist. Imo the order you watch Mamamoo MVs doesn't really matter since there's not a bad song in the bunch but if you want to do it chronologically then start with their pre-debut songs Don't Be Happy and Peppermint Chocolate. Use the search field on MMM"s yt channel to find the MV you want. This is especially important for songs between 2014-17. There are always two official MVs, one on their channel and another uploaded by a music distributor such as Stone Music Entertainment or 1theK, and the 2014-17 MVs on the alt channel aren't subtitled. Welcome to the radish field, baby moomoo! Hope you enjoy your free-fall down one of the deepest rabbit holes in kpop!

Thanks for the warm welcome and for taking the time to provide me and anyone else reading this with some guidance on where to start. I will definitely get into their solo work, and I'll save this comment for when I put a spotlight on each member (esp. Solar). I'd love to hear them talk about why they picked the daikon and hear more about their training days. It's always the hardest, most sad to watch but I find it makes you appreciate them more when you kinda grow with them, even though I'm late in the game.

@@tdragonreactions You're welcome. The radish light stick and silly fandom name are just their dorky way of having fun with their equally dorky group name. They also like to play with letter, number and word substitutions and even have a song about dad jokes called Aze Gag, which Solar, Hwasa and Moonbyul wrote with RBW's co-CEO Kim Dohoon, the guy who formed Mamamoo. As you saw in the guides they're serious artists who don't take themselves too seriously. :) I'll tell you the story behind the group name when you watch their debut MV Mr Ambiguous, which is one of the ones that's important to see with Eng subtitles but I'm not going to tell you why. 😉 This is getting long but you said you had never heard of RBW (Rainbowbridge World). MMM was the first group to debut under RBW and their success allowed the company to debut more groups, build an 11 story building, and buy up other agencies. A partial list of groups under RBW and its subsidiaries includes Oneus, Onewe, Purple Kiss, Oh My Girl, B1A4 and KARD and they have a bunch of solo artists too.

Love your reactions to the videos and am so excited for you to discover (and fall in love with) Mamamoo. I totally agree with what you said about them having depth and that is also one of the things (aside from their talent) that first drew my attention to them. Their talent, their down-to-earth personalities, their group dynamics/bond and love for us fans are what has solidified them in my life. To you question re: Moonbyul singing, Moonbyul had auditioned as a vocalist but was forced to be a rapper in order to debut. Not knowing how to rap and not even liking rap, she had to learn how to rap which makes her success all the more incredible. But having been forced to debut as a rapper and not a vocalist caused her to lose confidence in her vocal abilities in the early years. She mainly only rapped in the Mamamoo's early work. However, in recent years, Moonbyul has gained confidence back and has also continued vocal training to further develop her vocals. She does have more opportunities to sing in the group work, but she mainly showcases her vocals through her solo work, covers she uploads to her YT channel (Moonbyul2da), the Mamamoo+ subunit work, and through participating in Second World, a singing competition where female rappers from various girl groups competed. Her Second World performances are a must watch to truly see her vocal capabilities, especially her performance covering Congratulations and Refuge. Hope you will react to them somewhere down the line when checking out individual members' work. Looking forward to more Mamamoo content on your channel!

For Hwasa, she became much more popular when the reality show "I Live Alone" showed her down-to-earth, humble and kind personality. It made her much more relatable to viewers. She ate beef-tripes(?) without trying to look pretty and that hit the spot for the viewers - she wasn't "fake". The small restaurant that she ate at became so busy that the owner later became a franchise owner - same stores opening up all over the country. Whatever she ate on the show and other shows, it became so popular that for a short while, at least, the item would be sold out throughout the country. Now, that's popularity. But she stays humble and down-to-earth. I wish her all the best.

Yes, another video! Ok first things first, thank you for making this long enjoyment. I hope i can be of help to some of your quentions and if not or i forgot something i´m sure the others will help. So why is their symbol a radish - well, the word "MOO" in Korean translates to "radish" and Moomoos ( the fandom ) are often called " radishes ) because of that. Yes Moonbyul can sing really well too and we can see some snippets here and there, the company even forced her to be the rapper even though she wanted to sing but with the other 3 powerhouses she had not really a choice: it was either you rap or you will not debut, thats the sad but true story behind it. To be honest, all of their true colours came out after each of them focused more on their solo´s, but that is just my op, so don´t come for me 😉 For the Immortal Song Medley you have to keep in mind that this was a real concert and they where already performing at least 3 hours, incredible energy! As for if there is an order you should follow - hm, i would say at least the 4 seasons Songs you should watch in order, since the colours actually have a meaning. It depends, are you more interested in the funny stuff or music right now? I mean i can imagine u already watched a few more vids by now. Their "questionable behaviour when drunk", or "why mamamoo should stop hosting their own show" are all time favourites. As well as them " randomly harmonising". Ok the last one - if you want to see them spit when mistreated u should def watch MMA 2019, hah what a joy that was.....

Hi TD. Great video. Nice to see you going all in with Mamamoo. We’re hoping that Wheein will be visiting LA on her recently announced world tour. My feeling on what order to react to MMM is that it’s usually best to start at the beginning. If you’re going to be reacting to official MV’s then You could start with 2 of their pre debut ones that were collabs and kind of set their tone: Don’t be Happy (the original, not the 2021 remake), followed by Peppermint Chocolate. Their debut was Mr. Ambiguous. You might want to find one with English subs because there is a scene in it that will fall flat without it. Then Piano Man, still my favorite. Ah Oop, a collab with Esna. That’s the end of what we can call Mamamoo’s funky years. 😃 Now interestingly at the same time as they were releasing these they had a parallel career on Korean TV performing in the hit TV show Immortal Songs 2. Unfortunately you won’t be able (or highly doubtful you can without getting them blocked on YT) react to any of these here but this is where MMM really became well known as vocal queens to the general public. These performances will show you why they aren’t like any other kpop group, and in fact Mamamoo generally are known as artists and not idols in Korea. Artists are a higher standard.

I am a baby moo and get to know them during their WAW area, where I miss a lot of chances to meet them and stand them for a long time but learn more on them and growth on them. Mamamoo come from a very small company (RBW) where they do not have fund like those big company (YG, JYP or SM), they use to promote and perform at school / university festival where in 1 day, they will go to 3 - 4 events, attend all the variety show if have chance. For their first stage, they only have 3 supporter who is byul’ sisters and wheein’s friend. They need to prepare their own makeup, do their own style and choreography. They are not famous like blackpink internationally because their company did not promote them well. Is their moomoo (fan club name) who always do the back end to promote them. By the way moo means radish in Korea, that’s why their light stick is radish shape and can change 7 color. So, we are happy that now, they are more recognise internationally. Their music is widely genre, not like some group being control by their company. They do compose and write their own song. By the way, Hwasa had changed her contract with PNation for solo activities, like wheein with THE L1VE. Only Solar and moonbyul recontract with RBW. Mamamoo really appreciate their fans cause they have a few song written by Solar for their fans, you can listen to I Love Too (kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3jNp4CFpt2YiJY), Star Wind Flower Sun kzbin.info/www/bejne/oX3Ic4SNrJZkr9k), I Am Your Fan (kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHrUqqR5apKGac0) and Wheein’s Springtime (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJi0hH5-aJtojtU), Letters Filled with Light (kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5vdeohtiLqBqqs), Here I Am (kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooWbhaini6esbqcsi=CzTkoEo7LBkbcuJ3). The most sincere, amazing talented girl group and well known for their strong live vocals, harmonies and powerful stage presence. Their B Side song is a bop look too, for their earlier debut, their song is more jazzy type and they do try out a lot of different genres. They work really hard to get to these stages and it is not easy. That’s why Mamamoo fans have a slogan for them “Never Letting Go” and “BeLisMamoo” mean Believe and Listen to Mamamoo. How they act, speak, and compose themselves (whether it being when they crackheads or not), makes me feel like they are not just putting on an act for the camera. They are my kind of ladies, talented, classy, crazy, genuine, and hilarious. I can relate to the genuine piece because that's my center and what I wanted my channel to be. I didn't want to nor am I an overthetop reactor where everything is fire and dope. When I decide to do a deep dive, there's a good reason. Wheein's belly laugh is food for the soul. Hwasa's grace and strength has my respect. Solar's a tomboy, like me, and I can't not look the crazy in her eyes. MoonByul's charisma makes me question my sexuality. :p kidding but also not.:p Thanks for the support btw! I really appreciate it and I hope you continue on this journey with me. It's going to fun.🥳

This is a really nicely edited guide of mamamoo. I really loved watching it with you, I always loved mamamoo for their diverse personalities, and this is me additude how they grew into themselves despite the korean standards and wants for the group, which made me love them because I feel I could relate and enjoy their sound and music, it's also the things they got shade over in korea because the box just wasn't big enough for them to fit in.. Honestly, I'm so glad they kept fighting for themselves and those that truly supported them.. because they are slowly changing people's perspectives by being themselves and doing their thing.. ❤❤ Their infidual colors mix beautifully together and color a blank canvas into a unique painting. I can be crazy and weird and so Is mememoo 😊 .. they all sound so incredible. They all have sounds I enjoy and I really enjoy their music, and I don't listen to many female k-pop groups 😅.. I did watch I live alone, I've been following it, it's like my their's nothing to watch program, so I'm going to watch that.. and I guess watching Hwasa, following her daily days, made her like more human then artist in people's eyes, because they created this picture of her and probably the media painted a picture of her, so seeing her being normal like everyone else made her more likeable I don't know, for me I already liked her so it was just fun to watch😅 anyways I really enjoyed this video, until next time T ❤

If I'm not mistaken this is a medley of all the songs they did on the music tv show called immortal songs 2, they appeared on the show 14 times, and they sang this medley on several of their concerts in 2017 and 2019, they appeared on this music show alot in their rookie days more then any other groups back then, and won a couple of times, it's another program I enjoyed watching, you get to see singers, sing a songs of a legendary singer that is a guest of the show, and the singers on the show complete against one another singing a song from the legendary singer in their own color style a new version and the audience vote.. I really enjoy it for many reasons.. but that's how the medley came into being If I'm not mistaken.. 😊

You've made some really great points and I think the one that stood out the most to me because I didn't even think about was how the media might have portrayed her. It might not have only been netizens who were giving her a hard time... we all know the K-media well and how they distort and flat out lie about shit. She's persevered and now who's laughing. The crackheads are! I'm sure it still hurts but she's in a better place and she's really inspired so many around the world.

Others have touched on it already, but for moonbyul's singing... before debut she was told she had to become a rapper if she wanted to debut, since the other three members were such good vocalists (as an aside, solar and hwasa both helped teach her rapping) despite her having auditioned as a singer. This had a huge effect on her confidence in her singing ability. The other members would constantly try to get her to sing with them, and she would often sing on her own pretty much anywhere but on the stage. The others finally put their collective foot down in 2018 and told their label that byul had to sing with them, starting with "paint me" and the fan song "star wind flower sun". She still mostly raps in group songs, but all four do make sure she has her chances to shine as a vocalist, too

ok home from work... now I can answer some of your questions, while watching again. Are you Ready LOL - Immortal Songs Medley... was for their 2017 concert, named ‘Mamamoo Concert Moosical: Curtain Call’ they picked their version of the songs they sang during the show "IMMORTAL SONGS", performing an Eleven-Minute long medley in the middle of a Four-Hour long concert. Solar was upset with her last Belt, because she had to stop moving to complete it. - MAMAMOO's name is a combination of "MAMA," which stands for their agency's name, and "MOO," which means radish in Korean. The radish represents the group's wish to be as humble and strong as the vegetable. - The girl group in the industry emulates Mamamoo... Even BlackPink. And it's great, MooMoo's are propbably the most accepting fandom I've come accross. The MAMAMOO members are among some of the most-credited idols in K-Pop as of early 2023 - Moonbyul actually has the most songwriting credits of all 3rd generation female idols at 115(2nd most credited famale artist overall... Yoon Mirae at 139), since she writes her own raps(and more) in almost all of the group’s songs. As well as contributing to the songwriting in many of them as well. - Solar has 37 credits to her name. She wrote the lyrics and composition for her solo song, “Spit it Out”. Composer on "Honey". - Hwasa has 44 credits. The lyrics to her solo song, “María”, were praised for its inventive and meaningful wordplay. ("Somebody" w/Loco). - Wheein has 9 credits (that I can find, maybe more) UPDATE Aug 27/23 - Moonbyul 117 - Solar 41 - Hwasa 46 - Wheein 10+

Mamamoo is a group that had to build themselves... Only 3 people at their first stage. Small company, couldn't even afford a choreographer so they were doing it themselves So they do what they want, and if people don't like it... Too Bad . As a result MooMoos are the most accepting fandom. Solar actually did a musical last year "Mata Hari" It's hard to tell when Solar is being ditzy or she is just trying to boost the other members up.

The part about her appearing on I Live Alone... I'm there beginning many of the public saw her as an affront to traditional Korean standards due to her non-conformity and provocative stage persona. When she appeared on the show people tuned in expecting to be offended and gather more ammunition to hate her. Instead what they saw was a genuinely nice person that they could relate to. They started out thinking of her as the enemy, then began thinking "Hey, she could be my sister, or my neighbor, or my best friend. She's one of us." Public opinion completely flipped starting from that point and she became one of the most popular repeat guests on the show.
@tdragonreactions10 ай бұрын
I'm glad the changed their opinion because even without seeing more of her, she seems like a genuinely caring person. I like that.
@HyperactiveSloth7910 ай бұрын
@@tdragonreactions Just wait until you learn more about them. They are all great people, not just because of their incredible talents, but just genuinely good people and they quickly earn the respect and admiration of those around them. They not only care about each other like family, but they go out of their way to care for everyone. Solar, despite her crackheadery, is a mother hen who always wants to make sure everyone around her is comfortable and happy. Moonbyul is beloved by everyone she meets for her heartfelt genuineness and will protect anyone in a heartbeat. Wheein is shy around most, but even she is always described as warm and comforting and is a master of injecting laughter when least expected. Hwasa, oh Hwasa, she has a never ending list of stories from everyone she's ever come in contact with about her caring and generosity. The security guard working a venue who couldn't leave his station at the door for hours (and is invisible to most people), and Hwasa brings him a snack and a drink and peels an orange for him to eat. A young grip working on one of their videos is having a hard time and gets flustered trying to handle the props for the next take, and Hwasa secretly takes her aside, gives her some encouraging words and a hug, etc., etc. I've literally heard dozens upon dozens of anecdotes like that about Hwasa, and the other members also. They are all what everyone in the entertainment industry should strive to be. ❤️

Solar's visit to the deserted island was supposed to just be overnight, but a bad storm resulted in a cancelled boat, so they were stranded an extra day. Someone said that there was a store on the other side of the island (not so deserted after all), so they all trudged across the island in the rain to the store to dry off and get something to eat. Solar dragged Moonbyul with her to the island, which had several repercussions later. Solar had posted to her channel every week for over three years, so she announced ar the end of December/beginning of January that she's taking a break for a while.

The name MOOMOO is taken from the last part of the MAMAMOO's group name, MAMAMOO 마마무, and then repeated twice. Moo in Korean: 무 is a word meaning radish so MOOMOOs are sometimes literally called Radishes that's how the lightstick came into being as well as the radish merch 😊

Yes agian LoL Solar ventured into musical theater in the musical Mata Hari for its 2022 production on May 28, 2022, marking her first role as a musical actress. -The musical ran from May 28 to August 15, 2022. Her performance as Mata Hari received critically acclaimed reviews, highlighting her fresh take on the character, which emphasized the human side of Mata Hari who had a lot of scars -Solar was caste, earier this year, for the musical ‘Notre Dame De Paris’ The Korean Version. I hadn’t seen the Most Underrated Group video yet, so I decided to go ahead and watch it with you here! :) I’ve been a fan of MAMAMOO since 2017. Possibly late 2016? You see… I was technically first “exposed” to them through a random ‘kpop stars acting kinda gay’ video. Very silly, I know. (I could give excuses for why I decided to watch it but who am I kidding? I’m a gay lady and that about sums it up! lol) I think I eventually saw a couple releases from the previous year, or maybe I watched everything? The most prominent thing I remember and assume to be my official musical exposure to them was hearing a b-side off their 2017 spring/summer comeback on a random kpop playlist. I recognized the group name and the track reminded me of Mariah Carey a bit. (R&B infused pop music is one of my favorite genres.) So I decided to deep dive - it had been one year since I last did so with my first K-pop group, got7. (Listened to their music for half a year before deciding to check out more from K-Pop.) Like you, I fell head over heels for MAMAMOO. And Whee-In definitely draws me in the most. 😍 Anyway, I’ve rambled on long enough… P.S. You remind me of Tatiana Maslany! Ever get that comparison before?

First, I LOVE your username.😆 Thanks for sharing your MMM journey with us! I do feel a bit sad that such a talented group is not completely dominating this world but we all know in this industry it's not all about talent either. I think MMM has an amazing fandom and I think part of supporting the group is to have more MMM content out there (like what I'm wanting to do), along with having the fandom supporting it, inevitably, more radishes will surely sprout. So this is a joint effort in supporting MMM, don't you think? I know who Tatiana is (never seen her work though) but I have never been compared to her. Now I need to check out an interview or something because I'm curious what it is that you see! Hahhahahha.👀

@@tdragonreactions 😝 thanks. The username is technically a reference to the musical Rent (very old account, not much of a fan anymore), but I like that it has an unintentional connection to MMM. The fandom really is pretty great. I don’t venture into the “darker” areas of the interwebs, but YT comments can get pretty awful, so it has been great to see generally positive folks commenting on MMM reactions. No doubt you’ll eventually be among them! 😎 Lastly, to be clear, the Maslany comparison is also intended to be a compliment. :) (I know some people who have been insulted by celebrity comparisons, so I felt the need to add that.)

1:01:30 Mamamoo (마마무) >> Moomoo (무무) >> 무 alone is the character for radish, early on fans started taking actual radishes to concerts they found it fun and made the light-stick based on that.

I have been following Mamamoo for many years. I have a collection of around 11000 videos from performances to fan came and all of the reaction videos. I noticed someone has already mentioned Immortal songs and Second world. Now here is an old one that i really love. To me it was the real beginning of the Moossun party. Now called MAMAMOO Plus for some reason. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXeunnWJjainbcU Another of my favorites from this show kzbin.info/www/bejne/pmrWenZrgclohtk You did a wonderful job on this video I am so proud of you. Very few people are paying any attention to our girls these days. I love the third gen groups and even SNSD who is second gen. Again thank you for such a wonderful piece of work. I know it took a lot of effort to do this.

"Eonni" is more like close female friend, but only used among females. older sister i believe is "Noona" which is only used by men. If im wrong don't kill me, my korean is rusty.
@tdragonreactions10 ай бұрын
Lol. Non-existent Korean over here.
@jihyoshusband10 ай бұрын
eonni/unnie does mean older sister, but it’s used by women to address older women. as you said noona means the same but is used when a man talks to an older woman. the same goes for oppa which is used by women to address older men and hyung which is used by men to address older men. all these words are only used when the 2 people interacting are close friends. it’s also used between siblings and family members.

@@tdragonreactions it's okay, it happens! i just thought i'd let you know. loved the reaction anyway, you had the same reaction we all did to mamamoo, just feeling so awe-inspired and already attached to them. that's the mamamoo charm! also, solar isn't really tomboyish, she's definitely the more femme member of the group, along with hwasa. moonbyul is definitely the tomboy of the group but i think almost all the members are open to challenging gender norms and trying out something new!

Since you seemed okay with the idea, I'll give you a heads-up, Moonbyul is widely believed to be gay, and Moonbyul and Solar are widely believed to be in a romantic as well as business relationship. The "ship" name is MoonSun, and is the biggest ship in K-Pop, if not the world. There are hundreds of fan made videos on the subject. They have settled down now into their old married couple stage, but their whole relationship, from awkward flirting in the beginning to highly sexually charged interactions in the middle, fights, break-up and reconciliation, jealousy and possessiveness, are all on-line. Their trip to Hong Kong for the TV show Battle Trip is called among the fandom MoonSun's honeymoon. It's on-line and subtitled. One tiny little interaction that only lasted a couple seconds really brought it home for me... Hwasa and Wheein were standing behind Solar and Moonbyul, and for whatever reason, Hwasa stroked Solar's arm. Moonbyul's head swung around in an instant and Hwasa snatched her hand from Solar's arm in terror. Even Wheein looked frightened. Solar said something, I wish I knew what, but it instantly defused the situation, Moonbyul turned back around smiling and Hwasa practically knelt behind Solar in gratitude for saving her life. Both Wheein and Hwasa have reported that they are in heterosexual relationships now, but they have more than hinted that their own relationship hasn't been entirely platonic. Which may explain why Moonbyul was shooting daggers at Hwasa.

1:18:44 i don’t really like how they used a clip from red velvet’s subunit’s song MONSTER when talking abt queerbaiting because that is NOT what they did. in this MV, irene and seulgi re enacted a lesbian vampire story from an actual book, they didn’t just “act gay” to attract queer audience. the whole group is also very supportive of the lgbtq+ community (which i’m myself appart of, i’m not just trying to defend one of my favorite groups here) but yeah aside from that it is true that a lot if queerbaiting happens in the kpop world
@tdragonreactions10 ай бұрын
Oh I didn't know that this was a thing in kpop or in general. I know netizens ship members together... if that still happens. Yeah, I got confused there but I think the creator put it there because they really liked the group?
@jihyoshusband10 ай бұрын
@@tdragonreactions yeah ships are still a thing i kpop. also yeah maybe they put this clip bc they like red velvet but the timing was kinda disturbing bc i took it as them saying that their MV was queerbaiting idk😭 that’s why i felt the need to comment to clarify what they actually did in the MV
