I love how much you enjoy their stages. Trust me, all Moomoos have replayed these a million times just to laugh. 😂 It’s crazy how they somehow manage to simultaneously be cute, sexy, funny, weird, wholesome, and badass, and it gets me every time. Um Oh Ah Yeah actually has some deeper meaning going on. It's about flipping the script. You may note that their dance routines are in a mens room and in a barber shop. They are inhabiting male spaces. Then Solar done up as a series of male fetish objects, french maid, stewardess, nurse, is being the stereotypic obnoxious male refusing to take no for an answer in her pursuit of Moonbyul. The song is beloved by the Korean LGBT+ community and is played and nearly every Korean pride celebration. It's also their normal encore song at their concerts, where they wander the stage and interact with the audience.

Your choices here were good ones in that you can see what great live performers they are. And the fan base they have built that follow them around. Really not since Grateful Dead and Doobie Brothers has there been a more dedicated fan base. You will see literally hundreds of those radish lights at their performances. A more controling management company would make them stay only to the recorded version of these songs. But they constantly change everything up. They really do appear to be in control of their own direction,... which in K-pop is unheard of. Their fans have every reason to LOVE them.

Maybe someone can speak to when those shout outs from the stage during their songs began. But it was definitely a thing with their live performances. It also displays their willfulness to do whatever the hell they wanted. They feeling you get from them that they are very much a self-made and self driven group I think is very real. It only makes you love them more. It's one thing to have unbelievable raw talent. It's another thing to know WHO YOU ARE and how you should be presented. I think they display all of this the more you see of them, right?

Yeah, I can see that too. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that they struggled so much at the start. Another commented about their adlibs, that they were basically hanging on a shoestring, last ditch effort to survive the industry. That just blows my mind. It is hard to know who you are or who you want to be, and be that. I hope they inspire others to do the same.. Figure out who you are and how you wanna show up in this world. ✌🏼 🤟🏼

Early mamamoo had a distinct sound. More jazzy then funky type. Then they explored numerous more genre in the following years. Excited for you to hear those! I got SUCH a kick from watching you losing your shit over the You’re the Best adlibs. 😂 The slo-mo bit is my absolute favorite - like, who even thought to do that? It’s so random!! Any time the song is in my head, at some point I recall the slo-mo version. lol And the punching gag never fails to crack me up. When prepping my sisters for the concert last year, I actually showed them both of these songs’ adlibs compilations. I told them: “Honestly, you just need to see this - THIS is MAMAMOO in a nutshell. They may not be this goofy tonight but prepare yourself for it just in case. They do still enjoy playing around.” And I did hear my sisters laughing at them a couple times throughout the show. At appropriate times, of course. lol It was awesome to share that with them live. (The era of these two tracks were what made up most of my first few months getting into the group, which is probably why I identify the group with it so heavily.)

Actually it was part of their last ditch effort to avoid disbanding. Despite some success with the retro style, it wasn't enough. So they switched musical concepts here and the girls themselves added the changing adlibs/performances idea. I love the story. Facing adversity, the solution was to let MMM be even more MMM 🫠 I was going to suggest maybe mixing in their solo stuff with older group content. It could be one way of gaining ground. They are all concentrating on solo work right now, so that's going to be the most current for the foreseeable future. Or maybe you could start adding in group releases from the other end beginning with 1,2,3 EOI! and ILLELLA and meet in the middle. I'm all in however you choose🫰 Sunny days🤟

Just some background, you mentioned in the Byul video how you thought she was the tallest 😂 and while she is, the difference between all the girls is approx 1cm, and overall they’re a bunch of shorties so the 1cm Taller song is just them being funny about the whole thing. And the Aze Gag song is full of Korean dad jokes so the subs won’t make much sense until you understand the context of the puns but it’s still a fun time.
