A question: We are told that Vedic astrology does not take into consideration Neptune, Uranus and Pluto. However, many Vedic astrologers on KZbin are discussing the movements of these planets. Why is that? Thank you!

@@natashapuhar9248 great question! Vedic astrology comes from the Vedas and is known as Jyotish which literally means the science of light. we mostly focus on the planets of light the planets you were referring to are the outer planets and do not reflect any light. So they don’t have as much significance. I see different astrologers using Them in different ways. I can only speak to the way I was taught to use them. When they are in conjunction with other planets or in specific aspects. I’m being a little bit simplistic, but that’s the best way I can describe it. I like to make note of when they move signs because they are slower moving so they don’t move signs very often. And when they retrograde. These are times when we might see them in our own chart conjunct another planet. Or be on the lookout for that coming up. I hope this helps.
