I think you laid out some nice prep work for the future - that old highway definitely looks like something that would have rock slides and lots of accidents, but would be fun to drive in the summer. It's nice to see a build without all the detailing from time to time, reminds me my less detailed areas are fine, just could benefit from some extra detail if I want to take the time

People do seem to get worked up over long winding dangerous roads like that but here in Wyoming we have them all over the Rocky mountains. There’s one in particular outside the town of Lovell that goes up the bighorn mountains with sharps turns and miles of 8-10% grades. Some spots even have break ramps for semis and multiple off-road rest stops or “overlooks” so people can cool off their cars breaks. Maybe you could put stuff like that along that highway?

Definitely going to include some of that sort of thing. I have one feature in mind that I think is a must. Not sure if I'll be able to make it or not. It's just a matter of how much I can fit in.

Bismarck, North Dakota was named to try and attract German settlers and to intice German investment into the railways, so that might help with the back story for any German assets you use.

There are several cities in the region with German connections to their origins. I don't actually know what's in the German Pack. I'm hoping for a certain style of building. If I can build what I have in mind I don't really need a German connection in the back story. If I can't that might be an interesting thing to do instead.
