I object to remaking great movies or TV shows because they were good, because you're just setting yourself up for failure trying to compare yourself to the original. I think remaking an old pretty good but not exceptional quality TV show as a movie is fine. The Fall Guy TV series was good, but not great and certainly not held up as an exemplar of the genre. So there's room to improve on the original.

Edit: Actually yeah the marketing says it's a "standalone sequel"... whatever that means. "Standalone" is the excuse for why none of the original cast or characters will show up, but there will be a throwaway line or two calling back to the original so they can call it a "sequel." Eh... whatever. I guess it will be cool to see what modern effects can do. 20 bucks says there will be a callback to "that's the same cow!"

@@dawggonevidz9140 Entitlement? So Aging actors are Entitled to movie roles for characters that are children's ages? Stranger Things was awesome because they were almost all new actors and actresses. I"d rather see all actors/actresses retired after they make a million..because there are millions of new and upcoming ones waiting for a chance to hit the screen. Hollywood is no longer "killing it" with movies...its Netflix and Amazon who are bringing in new talent and good writers.

For those who have never heard of borderlands, couldn't care less about the age of the people in it. It's a fast-paced movie about chasing and blowing stuff up. If you like that sort of stuff, it will be fun. If not, read a good book and treat your brain to something more substantial.

@@johndurrett3573honestly the first one was really good because of the dynamics between the family and the genuine fear factor of their everyday lives. The second one I enjoyed solely because of the relation between the dear girl and the other guy (I cannot for the life of me remember their names) the day one trailer just seems bland and uninspired we follow a character who we’ve never seen before survive on day one rather than develop the lore of the family a bit better or even continue on their current story

Which ones, specifically, are you referring to? I hated the idea of a new Ghostbusters movie, after the 2016 debacle, but "Afterlife" was really good. As a huge fan of Dune, I thought an adaptation would be insulting to the Masterpiece, directed by David Lynch, but I couldn't be more excited about it now. I'm not looking forward to the Roadhouse remake, or the Mad Max adaptation, but I will reserve judgement, until after I watch them, because I've been proven wrong before. Maybe you should wait until after you watch them, before you decide that they have been "ruined"? Then again, maybe some people are too rigid, unyielding, and closed-minded to except the possibilities of change, adaptation, and continuation. Those types of people are doomed to a pretty pathetic, and miserable existence though, so I hope you're not one of them.

Qualify it by calling it something white like John Wick is insulting when its story is literally from India's own lore/culture. That's such a colonizer thing to do/say. It's not Indian John Wick... It's Monkey-Man. And if you want to say that's it's just a reference because one came before the other, realize that both the Hindu god Hanuman & The Delhi Monkey-man, on which the movie is based, came looong before John Wick was even a thought, so in that case it'd technically be more appropriate to call John Wick a white Monkey-man lol although referring to any ass kicking characters by other unrelated ass-kicking characters is a really reductive thing to do...
