Nice job... All them tractors without mufflers, must be parade queens... sure wouldn't want to run one all day! Dad managed to take the muffler off the 6600 when I was a teenager, and when he found out what it cost he replaced it with a 36 inch or so glass pack "muffler". Put the rain cap on top of it and we ran it that way for years... Wasn't too bad doing fairly light work like cultivating or spraying or even shredding, but when you did heavy tillage like plowing and disking and hipping, lordy mercy your ears would ring for HOURS after you quit for the night... One cool thing though-- when you were plowing at night, it shot a cone of orange fire out the exhaust past the rain cap like the afterburner of a jet fighter... LOL:) Burned the paint off that thing halfway up it. Probably part of why I'm half deaf now... I straight piped my pickup, but with four cats on it and a 3.5 inch pipe 3/4 the length of the truck, you can't really hear it much inside anyway. Later! OL J R :)

I had a similar issue with an exhaust pipe I bought from them. The flared bottom was the exact same size as the pipe it was supposed to fit on. I was able to bend it out some, but not enough to make it slide on all the way properly. I ended up buying a different one. Glad you got yours together!

You had to fight to get your new muffler on and I had to fight to get my old Muffler off. My new muffler practically installed itself.

Know it's after the fact, but best place for exhaust parts for older tractors is Thomure mfg. In East Prairie , Mo. Check them out. Did usiness with them for 12 years while I was parts mgr. At ih dealership. Great folks, can make custom parts also.

I had just recently got myself a pretty nice 94 dodge 3/4 12 valve was thinking of putting the stack in through the bed but thought also of running the stack under the bed facing it off the pavement not yet sure what I'd like to do yet but anywho she's got just a little less that 300 miles on it body wise she's got a fair share of rust but boy does it sound good.

For the next person have a muffler shop swell the inlet pipe on the muffler a bit. $5 probably. Versus 2hour fight and aggravation
