My reaction and first thoughts on the new Disney Store/shopDisney exclusive Mulan 17" Limited Edition Dolls to celebrate the movie's 25th Anniversary.

Shes so beautiful, i'm really glad they chose this specific moment. I think it gives people who wanted the matchmaker look something that they wanted without betraying her character. The whole point of the matchmaker scene is to show its not who Mulan is nor is it what she wants, so I wouldn't really want a doll representing her at her unhappiest in the movie. I think chosing the scene right after Reflection was a beautiful choice and shows a lot of thought went into presenting Mulans character and personality, not just solely producing a pretty doll. Really hope we get a date soon! 💖

This doll's face actually looks like actress Ming-Na Wen more than the character of Mulan herself. I love that because Ming-Na is so beautiful and it's such a good representation of her as the character.

I kinda wish they would redo the Mulan face sculpt. She looks so stern and mature looking. I get it’s because “Mulan the warrior” and all, but she actually has a much rounder and softer face in the film. She never looks quite right, especially her eye shape and sad mouth.

When I first saw the pictures, we all thought it was gonna be the Giselle fake leak again, but I’m glad she’s not, because I’m willing to buy this one, since I missed out on the 20th anniversary doll. I remember my uncle giving me the VHS of Mulan one year for Christmas, and it came with a giant Mushu plush, I’m still sad I sold it away. It’s funny because I was born the same year as Mulan, but it was three months after Mulan was released.

Please Mulan come out after May is over!!! 😂 I love this doll so much and I think I can probably alter the dress to at least have a more accurate hanfu silhouette. I think depicting the doll in that particular moment, holding the sword about to cut her hair and go off to save China is so meaningful because it honors who she is as a character but also appeases the fans who wanted her matchmaker outfit.

I'm not as big of a fan simply because it's somewhat similar to the last one they made except it looks like lower quality but it is a lot more movie accurate. Still I really wish we could have gotten her in her father's armor but I guess since they did the live action and d23 one they didn't think she would sell In her "masculine" version.

I really like her and I feel like for her 30th anniversary Mushu will be added it will also be 2028 a D23 year I believe. I could see her going on sale here in the USA either this Friday or next Monday but we will see and live action Ariel next month. 😊

I agree, they could’ve given her a more accurate silhouette😢 also, the blue ribbons in front kind of ruined her colour palette in my opinion, it’s almost completely covering her red overskirt. Regardless, I’m still hoping to get her!🤞🏼

Chaymie, great reviews and love your voice! I like her but I like the original better. Due to space and funds, I'll probably pass since I have the original Mulan. If I had lots of space and cash then I would add to my collection. I just sold off three newer 17" limited dolls due to space. I'm going to keep my older dolls and only buy new if one was never made like the Tinker Bell.

June 5 is the anniversary so I’m guessing it’ll come out around that time.. the tinker bell limited came out feb 6 and the Peter Pan anniversary is on feb 5.. I’m just gonna go off of that until we get a confirmation

I don’t like her. I think she looks moody. The shape of the doses look right to wide. I like the dress from the couple set with Li Shang better.
