You should play Crimson Dragon in the Extra Deck in WF after Alliance Insight. This combo and many others set up a Crimson Dragon for 12 on the opponent's turn. Blazar is too good of a card tbh.

That's certainly a way to do it, but if you're a bit heavy on the Azamina cards or you decide to play Fiendsmith, you wouldn't have enough space in ExtraD to run Crimson

Whats the idea of the new lvl 8 diabellestar? Paying half life points to pop 1 card seems a bit much IMO or is that the balance of the card itself?

Pay half to pop 1 and Special Summon an Illusion Tuner Synchro from your Extra Deck, like the new White Forest level 4 that can Synchro Summon as a Quick Effect, which gives you another interruption and extra followup.
