The game really needs that spectator duel rooms for a good tournament. It seems you can win with anything or luck sack your way to victory which would be entertaining in its own right. Really liking the diversity, even if Mewtwo is the top deck, I still feel like I can clap it with with whatever.

20 cards is a big problem, the decks are too generic, we have a lot of great skill-pokemon that will never see play within other enery-types, cause you come to that 20 cards limit too fast

Mew in other types of decks allow it to copy Psydrive without discarding energy as that move only removes Psychic energy. This should go for other types too, Charizard EX's Crimson Storm only discards Fire energy so Mew played on Fire decks would lose energy to that.

Run 2 weezing and 2 arbok. Eats mewtwo teams alive. Arbok 2-shots mewtwo, new weezing two shots mew. I’ve been playing with it religiously and it’s hella fun to watch people scramble. Even beat quite a few Celebi teams already. Only thing that really gives me problems is Venasaur or charizard/arcanine (and obviously fighting decks). Give it a try!!

I don't agree that Mew ex is a bad lead. It's a great meat shield that that can do chip damage and easily retreat.

I've been playing greninja druddigon since the pack came out, and I've gone 18-5. I only played one blaine (which I lost to, so maybe something's there) My other losses were to 2 druddigon decks, including a mirror, 1 golem (That thing is a house), and a bad start into a donk. I think druddigon is the new best noex mon.

@@blastmole299 Attacker. 90 damage is really high in noex, combined with rough skin or greninja, it's hitting 110, which kos everything outside of golem, dragonite, and melmetal after a Giovanni. An attacking druddigon at full hp survives most small attacks, and can thus pick up two kos. It's hitting the right numbers for NOEX. If it did 80 instead of 90, it would be significantly worse.

I dont love the new rapidash over the old one. The one energy attack with potential blaine was so good for early aggro. Would rather get 2 energy on the ninetails than a rapidash that needs a coinflip no?

The one plus side to the new rapidash vs ninetails, you can put the 2 energy on rapidash, and they don’t get spent, like ninetails. Allowing you to continue to build up something on the bench.

Im not sold with the new the Rapidash its only advantage is deal 60 more damage 50% of the time if you start with vulpix with no x speed it feels so bad manual retreat into the new rapidash since it need 2 energy that could have gone to the ninetails. And if you stay with Ninetails and start attacking at turn 4/5 you wont have spare energy for the new Rapidash if you retreat or knocked out. The new ponyta tho you only miss out on 10 damage if you miss but hit for 20 more if you hit and still costing 1 energy. The other downside of the new Rapidash is staring turn one you cannot evolve into ponyta and attack if you start at turn 1. And the main role of Rapidash in a Blaine deck be a tank and deal as much chip damage for the ninetails in the bench.

If they didnt release slab, mewtwo wouldve fell off hard because of celebi, which does tge same thing but better. Also, 1 copy of mew is enough for the mewtwo deck.

I think Mew can stay popular due to its best support cards, Sabrina and Expeditioner. Double Mew can be good because you can load them both up with energy and switch between them easily bc low cost. Then if you want FULL health, play Expeditioner and play it back in your bench in the same turn. Saving Sabrina is good late game because you can Sabrina a strong card and switch Mew in for a prize snipe

Banning isn't traditionally how pokemon TCG works. They rotate cards out by sets. It is more likely that we will get cards to counter it or straight up power creep it by the next expansion

I think people just need to learn how to play around it. I've been running Gyarados Deep Draw all day and I'm pretty sure I've never lost to Celebi. The deck really, really can't deal with bulky Pokemon who deal more than 140 damage.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think people run 1 copy of expeditioner because of it being a brick in your hand in case you don't have mew ex on the field or in case you run into oak or expeditioner in your hand, just something to think about lol

I've tried 1 copy and I wouldn't want 2 honestly. Koga is kind of necessary and doesn't have too much of a drawback because Weezing's attack costs 1 and retreat costs 3, it's the other way around for Mew which means there are a lot more situations where I'd rather not use expeditioner. Even 1 feels like too much sometimes since I don't think you want Mew twice in most decks and if you just end up never drawing it but drawing expeditioner instead, you brick hard.

Celebi getting shit on by fire decks could be a problem. The thing that makes mewtwo and pikachu so good is that they don't have major meta competitors, but celebi does. Kind of same thing that happened to water decks

I honestly feel like Chatot is way more consistent than Liligant in Celebi EX decks. Basic Pokemon, no need to evolve. Get cards when you need them on one energy. Leaves 2 more slots in your deck for more healing or disruption. You can also focus on loading up your Celebi with energy right away rather than on the Liligant line while Chatot tanks. I still havent lost a game with this deck and consistently get to 6 coin flips at least when the Celebi comes in.

the new vaporeon works really well in a deck with starmie ex and non ex lapras. its good enough to be top tier as it outpaces mew and cel, unfortunately it gets munched by pika so i don't think it will be consistent until pika get meta'd out.

The main thing I see changing, is the Celebi x Serperior deck cutting Lilligant. I don't personally see a need for it. I have liked Chatot or Exeggutor line instead.

Mew-EX doesn't do well against Celebi. But what about Jynx and Alakazam? Do they take advantage of the double grass energy? If so, Jynx would one shot a Celebi that has 3 energies and Alakazam a Celebi with rwo energies or one energy if Giovanni is used. And as a psychic type it could make use of the Mystic Plate trainer card.

im coooking with brook and the new geodude evolve. so underrated deals 20 1 energy with 79 hp then evolvs into 100hp with 40 dmg then final evolution 120dmg with protetction from 30dmg. slam brook on it once evolved and you sweep also its retrat is 2 which is way easier managable and becouse of its bulk you can generally set up another one.

14:49 don't have the cards to make this deck properly, padding it out with an arcanin ex and the salazzle salandit gimmick. And I've had pretty good success against mew/mewtwo decks and celebi decks, biggest cause of me losing has been bad deck rng and user error (like putting the *energy* in the *wrong* freaken *spot!* )

i think celebi isnt that good it takes too much set up to actually do the large amounts of coinflips it is capable of seperior is a stage 3 so you will not always get it it is pretty inconsistent pikachu ex is more consistent and has similar damage without coinflips or evolutions while it can get out faster than charizard it has less health compared to charizard and slighty less consistent although capable of doing more damage
