why so many dislikes? was a good video. however the game looks rather "raw" right now. at this point i wouldn't spend any money for it. the physics i dislike the most from what i have seen

While the game looks interesting it is too early on in development to really be played. It is an MMO but doesn't have the required player base. They are burning out the players that would be hyped at launch and as such it will likely never get off the ground. That, and it is Gaijin, so we know it will be heavily monetized and p2w.

You can board and capture NPC ships, which is the only way to get superior ship hulls and a chance of obtaining its ship parts(superstructure/turret base, etc). I'd say that's pretty much the only endgame content of the game right now - to 'catch 'em all' and to build your dream ships.

Looks interesting and I do like boats, ships sailing et al. From the very early days in the single player Cutthroats, to Silent Service to the MMO of Naval Action. Though I, along with those I know who had the game, we stuck with the PvE side of the game. There was even a game on the Sinclair Spectrum in the late 1970's _(Yup! I'm an old gamer!)_ about being in charge of a sub, but I can't recall what that was. But I did find it funny when you said that the world has been flooded so only the tops of buildings and some mountains are only above the water. Though currently the highest building in the world is the Burj Khalifa at 2,716 ft which, when you think about it, is still just a very, very small mountain or a highish hill. So technically speaking, if some building tops are showing, there should, in theory, be a heck of a lot of ground still available 8-))... But then this is just a game and designers have control of what is and what isn't reality. But I don't care about that. This game just looks kinda fun 8-))...

Hmmm, well I always love a good Naval Combat game. Although GUN FLEET (Which this reminds me of) and STEEL OCEAN came and went, so pardon my skepticism. Still Its Gaijin so it probably has SOME staying power behind it. Maybe I'll check it out.

Gaijin = big no. They publish good games but the monetisation is horrible. They tried to SELL there free to play en steam recently Enlisted Le progression will be exponentially slower as you progres. I have 1 700+h on WT i know the pain

Looks cool, but hard no. I already burned myself on Crossout (also published by Gaijin). It USED to be cool and creative, now you're target practice in PvP even if you dump 100s of hours into grind (rather than $$$).

I had the same idea: looks great. Publishes by Gaijn. Ehm... Played yesterday and today. Good so far. Maybe it helps that you have to buy the game first instead of being squeezed by grind and not-so-micro transactions.

This is Gaijin, so it'll be pay to win - that is just a given. With the different versions it's already started. However, as PvP is not enforced, I don't see a huge problem with that - and it is 2024, so pay to win is a truth of life nowadays.

What are you recommendations for boarding? I want to make a guide on it but I haven't found the most effective way to do it yet.

@Stealth17Gaming The best way is using cannons to target gunners, then machine guns mostly for the helms. Man, cannon is quicker only if the hull is good. I am currently using a teir 3 boat with teir 3 engines
