im getting one for my bday 28 november this console is great and this is why 1. it can play 3ds ds and 2ds games 2.its a handheld and i could easily fit in my blazer pocket so you take it around anywhere u want 3. its bigger and wider than the 3ds xl cant wait to get mine

Technically, “2DS games” aren’t a thing. There are only DS, 3DS, and New 3DS games. The New 2DS XL can play all of those games though.

Oh nice, you saw my comment. How is the overall build quality of the New 2DS XL? Heard some reports of it feeling cheap/fragile or toy like while others say it's sturdy. I treat my units with care so I am not worried of the hinge breaking or anything.

I've found the build quality to be very sturdy, my kids use it all the time and it's still in superb condition. The only thing I've noticed is that the little rubber joystick has discoloured slightly but that's probably from sticky fingers lol.

I might get a 2DS XL as well...And I want the white and orange one... I own a 3DS already, but I would like to get another handheld console so I can play different games on there etc... Still need to transfer my data over from my old 3DS, and gonna use this one as my main 3DS system now...I got really bad cramps from playing my 3DS so hopefully the 2DS XL will fix those issues for me.

Ok, now I have my New 2DS XL in orange and white. The screen is flimsy, never had that problem before, possibly on my first 3DS. My DS Lite hasn't had that problem. The directional pad also feels a bit on the flimsy side but might get better once I break it in 😊

I don’t find the screen flimsy on mine. Do you mean the hinge to the screen? The hinge on mine is a little loose but nothing to worry about and holds positions well.
