Johanneslol11 not necessarily.. its screen is way behind the casing.. and it's all plastic, no glass no metal.. plastic is a softer material which should survive more and act more like a cushion for the phone.. so i think if they stick it together with tape.. it will still survive

anonymous that might be true but the initial impact force is still the same. If for example my S7 edge. The glas has little to no flex. So if it lands the impacts is spread over directly to the glass and breaks. But this phone falls apart on impact so the initial impact is spreading that is why it falls apart in the first place then the hmm direct impact force seems to be only in the other shell who got the first impact and the phone part Just flies a bit. Finally plastic is more flexible in general so the impact is easier to spread in thr wave formation it does normally

That explosion of the pieces is why it is such a durable phone. I remember watching these old nokias fall out of peoples pockets at the state fair in the late 90's. It was fairly common for this to happen but these people would find their phone after and it would be just fine. Smart cars also have this explosion of parts/transfer of energy designed into them so in a wreck pieces come flying off to reduce the force to the passengers.
