I’m always struggling with that “regular” 1/4” and that “scant” 1/4” seam - I’ve have tried many products and most do,work for me but it’s really the set-up that can be tricky. That first item that holds the sticky guide is perfect!!! It hooks into the needle to make it so much easier to get it straight from that needle. I’ll be placing an order very soon!!!

As always an AWESOME 🤩 video. Looks like you are using a regular foot. Can you use a 1/4” presser foot and then just align it with the strip so there is a little bit more of a bridge when you start to stitch?

We are using a 1/4" foot in this video. However, it is only 1/4" on the right hand side of the foot, and slightly wider on the left side so that it engages with the feed dogs more. Hope this info helps! -Bethany

Thank you Jen for such a good explanation of the Seam Guides. You are such a good teacher! However I struggle with the seam guides because I have a top loading bobbin on my Pfaff with a small plastic cover. To change bobbins I have remove that cover, rip up the front edge of the seam guide because part of it is on the the plastic bobbin cover, and part of it is overlapping onto the base of the machine. The seam guide seem to not stick as well after I peel it back, so I have to put a new one on each bobbin change. I see you have a side/front loading bobbin on your Bernina.Any suggestions on using the Seam Guides on top loading bobbin machines?

Hi AngiesQuilting - Perhaps the seam tape by Cluck Cluck Sew would be a better alternative for you? We haven't tried it with a top loading bobbin, but theoretically, you could gently slice the tape around where your plate lifts: www.shabbyfabrics.com/p109972 hope this helps! -Michelle

I have a top loading bobbin so when I need to change it I just lift the seam guard off then re stick . I have managed to re stick it 3 times then it doesn’t stick so well after

I wondered what the width of the flannel strips were before you stitched them together. . .2 1/2 inches? 2 1//4 inches?
