New NVidia Driver 560.94: Review and Details | Guadeloupe! | MSFS 2020

Just installed this driver this morning. Made a 777 flight from EHAM to EGLL and the driver was working fine on my system, same experience as the previous driver.

560.94 is working perfectly on my system. I have a 3090 Ti, so no frame gen. I don't use the 3rd party dynamic LOD tool.

I hope MSFS 2024 will use also CPU power balanced with GPU. Only getting below 30% usage on my 8700k.

Updated to latest driver and unfortunately for the first time ever I got the error pop up that says youre GPU is running too hot etc etc and CTD each time. Rolled back to previous version that works. Wont touch that again.

Great chill video, man. I'm also concerned more about graphics' smoothness, as opposed to fps. So, would you recommend installing this latest graphics driver? I also love my Charlie pedals. I ask: Are your Charlies a bit noisy during calibration? Mine make a slight "rubbing" noise when I push each pedal to the stops. Nicky Repenning said that if my pedals are loud, they may be SnakeBites, and not genuine Honeycomb brand, that Honeycombs are much quieter. Either way, I love my Charlies. 😊

Thanks for the support! I would say that if 560.81 is good for you, this one will be as well. And my Charlies aren't "noisy" really, but they do make noise. I would wonder a bit as well if you have the Snakebites. But they're great pedals either way. I'm really loving mine as well!

I installed this driver when it came out a few days ago and ever since, my performance has been completely messed up in all games, gpu is at 40% usage at idle. Using DDU and going back to old drivers didn't help. Don't download this driver.

Ya, still getting stutters (4090). You say you can feel the Charlie rudder pedals nicely in the turns. I find my turns have auto-rudder (yet not set to auto in sim). So mine are useless during flight. Is that so for everyone?

You won’t regret it. And Guadeloupe is CHEAP compared to other islands. We absolutely loved it.

Install previous version, and do clean install. This why i dont install new drivers as soon as they release, rather wait and see reviews and check other users views

MMMM Luv the Map inhancment mod but my Piston Duke didnt like the last Nvidia driver blank tab in the cocpit reinstalled The Duke and a driver before the last one and everything is Happy . wonder if I should risk this new driver hmmm. Hope Your Vaca is going Great

Did you use DLSS 3.7.20? I found it more blurry than the 3.7.10

Thank you for the hint, I will try 3.7.10 as I do notice some blurryness with .20 (first time I use any DLSS v3.x in MSFS 2020)

i'm playing on a 12600kf/4060 8gb at 1440p, high preset with frame generation and dlss at dlaa in dx12 mode and the only stuttering is coming from ppl with low ping in mp mode. if i'm flying sp there are no stutters and i can use the very high preset.

Every time I come into landing I always get stutters and it sucks . I've cleaned out the community folder I've reinstalled MFS itself and still have the same issue. Any idea if there is a fix ?

Is it after the update of this driver? just curious. But anyways I had same issues where my frames used to dropped to single digit on final. Next time when it begans, go to Menu and and Clear rolling cache. Try that and I bet it will fix it.

I did not update the driver because of all these issues. But I think whatever update they did to msfs recently might actually be the culprit because I flew the PMDG 737 this weekend and it was AWFUL…. full of stutters, when coming in for a landing it looked like an FSX slide show, parts of the 737 wouldn’t function properly. Just horrific!!! Unplayable!!! And I have a 4080 and a 13600k with 32GB of ram. My system has never run this sim so terribly before. So I think asobo broke the sim.

Stutters. I'd love for someone to nail down why they happen. I have days where there are zero stutters, everything is smooth. Other days, are a stutter fest. Same airports, same planes. Sometimes one reboot fixes them, some days it takes 4-5 reboots. I am not convinced this is a hardware issue but that seems to be what everyone chases, hardware and drivers. As I approach 5000 hrs on MSFS, I can't help but think how many of those were spent tweaking, installing, deleting, etc. So many variables. MS server speeds, live weather, Windows 11 background apps... There are days where photogrammetry looks spot on and days where it looks like a melted nuclear armageddon took place. There are days when my Fenix A320 cruises into KLGA at 26 fps, butter smooth and days where it claims 36fps and a complete stutter fest. Both scenarios with zero changes. Why don't we have one CPU core working gauges while another core handles the flight model, another core handles the photogrammetry, another core handles the weather, another core handles whatever? MSFS2020 was a revolutionary concept, it is also a sh*t show of poorly optimized overachievement that people have spent collective millions trying to fix.

Also, for those who haven't noticed, our favorite KZbinrs with very basic machines in 2020-2021 are now sporting i9's with RTX 4090's giving the illusion that MSFS is a smooth, lifelike experience. All of this thanks to the power of YT bulls*t ads that we are forced to endure, sometimes many throughout a 15 minute video. They are using $600+ yokes and sidesticks, $500+ rudder pedals, $300 tillers, some even have $1000+ throttles, etc. Everything we pay for, many of them get for free and we all start spending $$$ to replicate what we see on their screen. So let me just say we appreciate your channel for helping people with what is a basically a sh*tty wallet draining experience for many. Your efforts to help are encouraging. Please keep it up. Hopefully MSFS 2024 will address the dismal performance issues, but I am not putting any money on it.

You are able to isolate cores to specific tasks with a system explorer I’m able to allocate 2 cores to mainthread and my other 6 cores to other threads specifically for msfs or any other program running on my system. If you need help lmk I’ll make a video or something

That's actually one of the reasons I haven't upgraded my PC (12700K / 3080TI). It's easy to tell people how to get good performance with a 4090.

Did anyone try the 560.94 in combination with Lossless Scaling yet? It's absolutely horrible here on my rig. I get the impression that nVIDIA is trying to kill Lossless Scaling ...However, why would I use Lossless Scaling, when 560.94 runs buttersmooth?

Has anyone ever imagined what kind of performance they could get with a very basic Operating System? Ever look at the hundreds of "Background Programs" running in Task Manager, some of them 20-30 instances each? Are we to believe they have no cost to performance? Why doesn't someone create an app to kill all of that unnecessary BS? I seem to remember we had something like that in FS9 but I'm quite old now and the years run together...

I use Chris Titus Tech's Windows Utility . It does exactly what your asking for. Just Google the above and have a look. Its hosted on github and is used by many people. He has youtube channel showing how to use it. It works and I've never had a problem using it.

I also unistall the currently used nvidia driver using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) software and install a stripped down version of the new driver using NVCleanstall. Both are freeware.
