New (Old) Footage of Rocky Point Park with some rare TV commercials!

I met up recently with a former ride operator and longtime friend, Jerry Coombs, and he handed me a few VHS tapes with some old school gold on them!
This video features a cool panoramic shot from the top of the Freefall (then still being constructed) which gives you an idea of where everything was on the Midway at Rocky Point Park, circa 1980s.
Also features a rare TV commercial that uses another park's iconic corkscrew roller coaster...instead of the one actually at Rocky Point Park!

In the neighborhood right outside the park, a guy has part of the flume ride on his front lawn! So many good memories at Rocky Point. Thanks again.

Thanks man for the posting this video. I am native Rhode Islander went to high school in Warwick...brings back a lot of fond memories. I live 3000 miles from home in Las Vegas, and it saddens me that my kids will never get the chance to be part of a cultural icon like Rocky Point Park was. The Luxor is about cultural as it gets, lol.

Yes, I'm sure they did old commercials on VHS tapes and used them in TV Studios when they put on commercials locally, I bet after Rocky Point Closed, they sent the tapes back and Jerry got his hands on a few of them. The Manager also got ahold of one that was unaired.
