@EBC-ENT I always saw those singles like My Name is, etc. more taken into the Bloodhound Gang or Weird Al type of community but only made popular by the public in order to become “pop rap.” But at that time, that type of content was the opposite of what pop rap typically meant. To me, pop rap was something heard in the club and I think the term gets incorrectly applied to Eminem because obviously he doesn’t make music designed to be played in clubs or to dance to in general. If pop rap is defined by extremely commercial singles, then every popular rapper has put out pop rap. If not, I think another term needs to be applied to what he does with the “funny” singles he was putting out for each album.

Just cause Em makes hip hop that is successful in the mainstream, and is better at that than everyone, don’t try to discredit him for that.
