There was no "party switch". Black folks became a mojority Democrat voters during FDR about 66 percent. They did this relunctantly but did so because Dems promised them "free" shit. The result is that FDR actually extended the depression by 10 years. After the Dems (in goverment) opposed the early civil rights movements and lost, they started offering more "free" shit and won over the rest of the black voting community.

Police Reform and Community Policing: Trump’s administration promoted community policing strategies and provided funding to law enforcement agencies for better training and equipment. This included grants to improve relations between police and minority communities. Healthcare Initiatives: The Trump administration took steps to address health disparities affecting Black Americans.
