How about reinstating black fathers in the household and teaching these kids how to behave when they're pulled over by a cop to avoid getting shot? Im 40 years old, got pulled over PLENTY of times, and NEVER had an encounter with police that escalated. I've been living in the "redneck" part of Florida for the last 10 years, got pulled over maybe 8 times, only got 2 tickets but most of the time they let me go with a warning (white cops mind you). Yes, some get shot and killed unjustly but in MOST cases, the behavior of that black individual led to that. There was no "party switch". Black folks became a mojority Democrat voters during FDR about 66 percent. They did this relunctantly but did so because Dems promised them "free" shit. The result is that FDR actually extended the depression by 10 years. After the Dems (in goverment) opposed the early civil rights movements and lost, they started offering more "free" shit and won over the rest of the black voting community.
