Hi you two hope you both well. I've had my omoda petrol about a month now and up to now can't fault it it's very comfortable powerful I rarely ever take it out of eco mode is enough for 95 per cent of driving. I actually phoned amoda to clarify a point and they couldn't have been more helpful. Just one thing the petrol car does have a spare wheel in the boot which I think is brilliant. my noble also came with 19 inch spoke rims which I prefer fabulous car.

I had a test drive off the E5 and was quite impressed. If it had been more established in the UK I would have been very tempted. I went for the Hyundai Kona EV in the end.

Looked at one these today. Should have test driven. Salesman said slightly less build quality than MG our other one in radar car. How did you find efficienty? Thanks guys.

We would say that they are on a par with the most recent MG’s, although the petrol 5 is a little more dated. We’ve not yet had this on review, meaning we’ve not had enough time with it to fully explore the efficiency. Thank you.

Test drove the electric version today. Very impressive high quality interior. However the ride was poor, steering too vague and the safety systems intrusive to the point of distraction.

Drive away base EV in Australia is equivalent 🎉to £22,500. Lots of software issues and a reluctance to fix them by dealerships so far. So I’d hold off a while if I was considering buying one. But for the price, pretty much unbeatable here. Cheaper than atto3, has nicer interior and shares same battery. Shame the legacy manufacturers aren’t really competing with them, as they’re going to take the market and share it with Tesla.

Yes the manufacturers are dominating, thank you for the update Paul, we’ve seen the opposite here reports from owners appear very good. Yes it’s BYD the batteries if I remember correctly. The markets an interesting one at the moment.

Simple question to consider - why is there a key symbol on the right side of the pad and not another phone icon with a second fan? 🤔

I wondered this however other key holders aren’t smart phone size plus all dealers call it a dual and say the fan covers both.

I have now learned that it only has one phone charger on the pad - hence only one cooling fan and the part of the pad with the key symbol is part of the keyless entry system where you place your fob to start the car if your fob’s battery is flat.

Country is being flooded with Chinese cars We will regret this in time ,not a fan of Chinese products , I suspect parts will be an issue for body shops

No they’ve covered that, Robert. They’ve set up a warehouse full of parts that they will ship overnight using DHL to where ever they are needed. This was one of their priorities to have in place before they launched here. Thank you.

It’s a good thing, our manufacturers typically are behind the Chinese and Koreans - this in turn increases competition and lowers prices, win win
