Just test drove one today and was generally impressed good car for the money

Like these`nomark` brand reviews, Bryan... Will now consider the Omoda when replacing my E-208. Prefer soft-driving cars, in truth. And don't need baggage space. Looking for nearby dealers... And I'm in'n'out all day so seat comfort will need to be assessed...

I pointed out it was the only EV with a full sized spare but apperently Hyundai Kona has one, at least in Australia. Full size spares are definately something Australians want. I am not sure if the price is lower here since we are completely open to the Chinese EVs.

Driveaway for the EX (The upper level one) is $50k they have a $3k discount if you pick it up by EOY and the dealer gave me an extra $1k and a charging cable. Yeah we live rural and often get punctures so the spare was a major bonus

Forgive me if I don't finish your video. I've seen enough. To sell this they would have to sell it really really cheap. They've missed the boat with that price point.

All these Chinese cars look fair value, I'm just concerned about their aftercare and whether all these brands will survive that long. They would have to be giving it away for me to want one.

Our local dealer has just started selling these, and the Jaecoo. They have been refurbishing the showroom for months , finally opened last week.

Waiting for mine to be delivered - I got a Red EX version. I in Austrlia BTW. I like that it blends in. I was going to buy a used certified tesla, but people seem to hate them and vandalise them. I also didn't like funding a bond villain. Driveaway list price here is $50k AUD. Where I live has power that occasionally goes off so the option of have a generator socket for the house and using the V2L (Not mentioned in the review) is a huge bonus. Putting 60kw of battery on the house would cost me $30k AUD even if I did myself with cheap batteries.

I got mine omoda e5 Noble 3 weeks ago from Wakefield dealer from £29,899 a good. I love it my only issues is the weak signal of DAB radio.

Sounds like a good used buy at the right price… All these new cars are too expensive £32K They are having a laugh…

it does remind me of a 'runout' model, I live in NZ and have an MG ev and it is great, but the new Kia ev3 seems a bit more exciting to look at, so to speak. so would be on my radar as a replacement.

That spare wheel thing in the boot will never catch on LOL

Test drove one generaly reasonable, but the software menus are a baffling mess and the higher regen setting was like stamping on the brakes. Needs a bit of sorting to make it a contender particularly as it costs as much to lease as polished products fro Hyundai/Kia.

You guys in the UK really get stung with tariffs, in Australia and New Zealand the base model is around £19,000 give or take at the time of comment!

It looks like the love child (AI generated of course!) of a Nissan Quashqai and a random Kia. Like you say no real USP and I fear it indeed needs to be sub £30K to make a splash. The ICE one is pretty hideous at the front end. The grille reminds me of a lattice Danish pastry!
@hishamgАй бұрын
It looks OK. It feels like a budget EV, a bit like an EV version of the Dacia or Hyundai/Kia back in the 90ies. If EVs are to replace ICEVs, then we need budget EVs that ordinary people can afford, not just expensive luxury cars. I also love the spare tyre, something my Kia EV6 does not have. I have been caught out twice by flat tyres.

That boot space and capacity with seats folded down is shockingly small for a car that’s in the mid £30k’s. As you say in the review, it’s just meh all round.

Doesn't mean we should just give them even more I try to avoid buying Chinese wherever I can. They're hostile to us so I don't see why I should stop buying European and help promote a hostile state. @@ewadge

They’ve just taken over a a local Nissan dealership so we had a look at one and I really don’t think I can argue with one word of your review - the ‘Noble’ gets a 1970s style opening sunroof the size of a tea tray btw. To make any impact this needs to be £1000s cheaper, which it may be soon as I can’t see them flying out the door - even the Motability deal is awful so they won’t shift them that way either.
