What is the Making Out series? I'm very familiar with the history of Joy Division and New Order, Factory Records and the Hacienda. But since I'm a Yank, live in the States, some things fall through the cracks. Anyone care to enlighten me?

It's bits of the soundtrack to the BBC TV series Making Out that had 3 seasons. New Order or probably more like Stephen and Gillian did all of the music for it. I liked the synth pad and piano piece they did and another percusion part and decided to do a tune around that which then morphs into Vanishing Point at the end.
