@@CookingWithTheCajun just got ten mirlitons from Winn-Dixie. Deciding weather to do them like that or the casserole 😁. God bless you and yours as well my friend🙏 !!!

@@craigjacob3704 Thanks I am going to make the casserole next time. Have you ever topped it with cheese?
@craigjacob37043 жыл бұрын
@@CookingWithTheCajun yes I have three tubs of Rouses grated Ramono cheese. I mix it in my artichoke heart casserole as well😋 I will probably blend alittle parnassian cheese in with the Ramono to make a mixture.

@@craigjacob3704 thanks I will try a cheese blend with my next batch.

Stuffed mirlitons, also known as chayotes. Good substitute for potatoes, if you are on low carb diet. Pretty easy to grow your own too.

Once cooked, the seeds are completely edible and can be added to salads, etc.

I'm sure this is a gastronomical delight; however, prep is a lot on the slow side. Maybe cut up the shrimp first instead of tediously scissoring them? This could move faster. If you're cooking for the first time, like EVER, okay. . .but more seasoned cooks don't have time to waste. Work smarter not harder. Otherwise it looks like a great dish. Happy Thanksgiving!😂
