A lot of places were boarded up in preparation for a hurricane.....Louisiana was in the path of 8 named storms this season and 5 of them hit, quite a busy time! Some owners paid artists to paint on their boards for decoration.

Gives me goose bumps. I worked and lived in the Quarter in the mid-late 80's. I had a room in some slave quarters off Conti and Dauphine. On the second floor of the Old Absinthe House was Tony Moran's Italian Restaurant where I worked for a while and met Frank Sinatra and Red Buttons one night. Had a gig as DJ at Chris Owens' club where she was still putting on a helluva show at 55+, another working with a street magician named Keith Wilson and a midnight show at the Famous Door. Got to shoot a game of pool with Paul Newman when he was between takes shooting the movie "Blaze" down on St. Phillip Street. Sold roses on the street corner for Bob Bridges, the Flower man. Every thing from pushing a Lucky Dog cart a couple of nights to dining room captain at Court of Two Sisters, lol. Lots of memories in a few short years. Thanks 👍👍 Oh, and thanks to Ruthie and Chicken Man for helping to make the Quarter what it was then.

Fun Fact: There's a cheesy post-Wall Germany movie about an old man who secretly (when the two Germanys were separated) gets a radio channel from Louisiana. He starts to copy Zydeco on his own accordion. When the Wall falls, he heads to Louisiana and becomes a Zydeco sensation.

No, but we filmed early in the morning and the city was relatively empty when we filmed in the summer of 2020.

Would love to hear what your saying. Why don't you fix the sound.

The Mrs. says: Way, way, to many counties, all you need for such a small area is an East County, a West County, a North County, a South County. A lot less paper work that's for sure and only four Mayors and Probably much better Law enforcement and more accountability on what's going on with each county.
