If the ACC loses its top teams in realignment the others should merge in to a ACC/PAC conference, a Coast to Coast League with an Atlantic and Pacific Division. I think this CCL could compete with the big12 as a solid 2nd tier league and get a new TV package.

It already has 3 Big 12 teams WAITING for the Call and it will take 3 PLUS however many schools the ACC loses to the B1G or SEC. Big Fish EAT Smaller Fish. ACC is the Bigger Fish TODAY and FOREVER compared to the Big 12. You make 2/3 the $ and that GAP is GROWING.

Drake Troll is clueless. Just some dude with a mic. Memphis AD basically just recently said that Memphis is about doing what is best for Memphis and not the American. We have 1 foot out of the door now. Pac-6 is way more attractive to our fanbase than Charlotte, FAU, East Carolina, and Tulsa. Plus that new Pac will draw more money per school than the current MWC and AAC combined. The latest numbers are said to be anywhere from $11M to $17M per school per year. The AAC gets $6.8M per school. MWC gets $4.5M.

@phays10 SMU isn't getting any money from the ACC. I believe Calford is getting a 30% share of ACC revenue over the course of the next 7 years, meaning they make about 10 to 12 million per year in the ACC. Granted, it's not much more than the rebuilt PAC 12 will make, however, they have guaranteed access to the playoffs if they win the ACC plus better TV exposure than they would get in the rebuilt PAC 12.

I think unlv goes to the big 12 think about more than football and the TV rights deal is more than acc 46 mill per school vs 30 at acc.
