Nah, TPS and TFTBL had pretty good writing overall, I think the ending scene of TPS (with all the Vault Hunters together for a war) is the end of an era though. Everything after is.... death

In borderlands 3, one of the least liked part of the game is the cutscenes. So logically the next step was to make a game entirely about borderlands cutscenes.

I'm 100% with you...but on the other hand, I think they did it to try and advance the story/introduce new stuff for the future games while differentiating the audiences' share (which was the main point of the Telltale Borderlands games AKA bring in more people on the Borderlands train, people that like point and click/scripted adventures rather than FPS games). Still I don't give a damn about Telltale's games and any other not-lootyshooty Borderlands games. I'm here for gunning and looting, not dialogue choices and quick time events.

The Human characters looks really bad, looks like a Random NPC Generator.
