My only criticism is the size / thickness of the hold over ret from the ballistics calc, at the distances I shoot that would completely cover a rabbit. But I will still be buying one, it blows all it's competitors out the water!

But he indicated that was his 'artist's impression' of the holdover indicator, because the actual indicator displayed within the eyepiece didn't record on the video alongside the reticle?!? Never having a night scope, i bought the 008slrf and got it today, would it be possible for you to do a video for numptys like me when it comes to these scopes. If you can Chris that would be very helpful, and so give loads of info slowly on the buttons as the manual i find is useless explaining how to use it. Yours hopefully Bob

There is no way to specify ballistic function - GA, G1 or G7. It may not work good.

@@MasonStormSunny this is a night vision hunting scope with simple ballistic calculator, not a Kestrel 5700. Kestrel 5700's are weak on night vision, not sure how good live Kestrels are😉

@@chrisparkin431 Right, but G1 vs G7 is not rocket science. Right now we don't even know what is their ballistic function. As always - they have nice ideas but the finalization always fails.

@Ross I have been using the scope for two weeks now and have tested from 14m to 52m and it has been spot on every time so good enough for me. In the recordings I have made, the adjusted reticle does show up, so perhaps this prototype had older firmware? Should add, it is slightly different format from that seen through the eyepiece, but it is there.

Nice review, but one thing bothers me. I have the ATN 4k Pro, and the ballistics don't recognise any pellet weight under 10 grain. I shoot .177 and many of the pellets are lighter than that. Is the new Pard the same? Is there a cut off point where the ballistics won't work with lighter pellets?

The total amount has little effect, bullet speed is the most critical factor

May I ask where you bought the Mount for this night vision device to connect to the rifle. The original mount has always been problematic and has not been improved. thanks！

this is the supplied mount and I haven't had any problems using one. I do use a proper torque wrench and threadlock though and not everyone uses these as the latter particularly seems to scare people off who don't read instructions

Could you please comment on sighting in. I had the NV008, and a common problem with that was that after centering the reticule was way off center. The only way to fix that was to use special adjustable mounts. Is this still an issue?

on the screen, as with your zero check moved it down and to the left of center. Or if you want to adjust the whole scope to get the cross hairs

The manual of PARD 008S LRF does not explain the specifications of the memory card in detail. I wrote an email to ask the customer service staff of PARD. They said that the maximum support is 128GB, but it is recommended that customers use a memory card less than 32GB. May I ask what brand of memory card you are using and how many GB? What specification of memory card do you recommend is better, thank you!

SGC Director Aboo Cattran told me at the BSS (when I filmed my first sight of the 008LRF-S) that they'll be on sale at SGC at the end of March and priced approx same as the 008LRF. Cheers. Russ
