GREAT REVIEW! I've never seen a collar stand like that before either I LOVE that since I struggle with collar stands at times 🙃. Plus the waistband, I love how it's just in the back and not the front. There's a lot of great detail to this pattern. While this pattern has a TON of pieces, I think the final look is soooo very nice! I absolutely can see this in a denim version. I'm with you, I would probably shorten this as well. I'm definitely getting this pattern. You did such a great job and it looks lovely on you.

Linen will be an excellent choice! I was going to make a version with a burgundy or mustard rayon linen, but I couldn't find any rayon I liked. Maybe soon. Can't wait to hear your thoughts about your experience sewing this pattern. Happy sewing!

I’m very impressed! What a beautiful dress, you look gorgeous in it. I did buy this pattern, I’ve got a lot of plans for fall sewing, and I think I’m going to try it in a chambray. I’m tall, 5’11” so I’ll need to add some inches to torso, arms and skirt length. Take care!❤

Yes, there are so many variables when it comes to sewing! I used to feel the same way. But you'll soon learn that what we learn in text don't always play out in practice 😆 🤣 happy sewing

Great review Tea! This looks like an amazing dress. I've been seeing this style quite a bit and I think this will be a huge trend this fall with this style and the top stitching. I'm curious how many days did it take you to do this dress. I would think with my super slow sewing it would take me around 2 weeks (I know I'm slow)

2 weeks??? Definitely not that long, I don't even think we had the pattern for two weeks. Maybe 2 weeks, but definitely not a month. I think maybe a week, about 6 to 7 hours, including washing fabric, printing, cutting, and taping pattern, mockup, and final version. I'm slow, too. But I had to sew a little fast this time because I knew the drop date was soon.
