Speaking of cats, I seen this 2007 Pete 389 ,sleeper. Mid or a stand up. , like a copper color. It has a cat c15 I believe it said. I’m not a driver. -But I love these trucks, so much that I want to drive for money.- but the mileage said like 215k. It was $66k. I couldn’t believe it. 18spd manual. It’s cheaper than a F250! I been wondering how can a reg guy buy one. Do you finance for 5-7 years only? So on a brand new rig, for $185k. It’s financed, your payment will be $6k a month!! How can you make any money if the average income it’s 1200 bucks a week at good?? Maybe $2500 week at best. But you don’t get those cargo every week. I have to get a contract with an equipment company or multiple to transport to even think about purchasing a new rig. It it’s just for toys. Or we all use the cascadia with an automated tranny? Idk. Maybe that’s why I don’t see any Amazon trailers being towed by hood trucks ?!?

How do you finance 100 or $200,000 truck when the average tow job is like $1500 a week because it comes out to be like 6000 a month is that why you never see hood trucks pulling Amazon trailers?
@robertallred2368Ай бұрын

what don't u like about it? i'm learning
@MaisonShiraz773 ай бұрын
@@instructor.b.h.o.g.a.n. A few things really. First of all the driver is not in full control of the vehicle. You don’t have the clutch to get the vehicle going When stuck in mud or snow. They often change too soon or too late which is not a major problem when empty but causes headaches when pulling heavy loads. Finally there is no art in driving automatic transmission. All the fun in truck driving is the engine sound when you change the gears manually

@MaisonShiraz77, my plan is for this rig so appreciate ur thoughts. funny u mentioned mud and snow as both scenarios i'm most worried about not as unseasoned driver but new to this size rig. i figure under or no payload want most options to get unstuck as i will go to farms. any links to other training vids u really like always appreciated! best brian
@MaisonShiraz772 ай бұрын
@@instructor.b.h.o.g.a.n.I can’t really think of any helpful video clips because I only watch the manual transmission. I have got stuck in quarries with auto transmission but lucky enough to have shovel loaders around to pull me out. They are not too bad when loaded because the weight on the differential / s helps you out of trouble but very tricky when empty. If you fully stop on mud or ice, almost 90% of the time you get stuck and have to be pulled which is not always available. differential lock and traction control can help when loaded though but not guaranteed. If you keep the vehicle rolling to avoid sinking, the chances are you lose the control of steering which makes the situation even worse. I never fully stop on muddy / icy surfaces, keep the vehicle moving slowly, hold the steering wheel firmly and just pray 😀
